SJ's - God, angels, and demons?

What if you found God, only to realize that he was in fact the devil, and his chorus of angels were in fact an army of demons. Prometheus was a titan, and titans are typically shown as dark, archaic gods akin to the representation of the devil, therefore the SJ could be the devil, LV-223 his prison, and the Xenomorphs his army of demons.

Ive been thinking along these exact lines too hhsmiley. Similar to the plot (if you can call it that) of TF2, the rule was not to harvest energy from suns that gave light/heat to life bearing planets. The Fallen breaks this rule and says whatever, then begins posing as God to the natives before he plans to blow up their sun. He is entombed/punished. In the case of Prometheus....a "fallen" jockey and his "converts" begin making their own lifeforms, even on planets with existing life (they obviously did this on the planet the movie takes place). They even go and genetically corrupt lifeforms made by the "sanctioned" Jockeys. Leading to them being imprisoned. Like the MIB in lost...he has to get the candidates to kill "The devil" and each other so he can "leave" his prison. Its possible that this Fallen Jockey and his crew were imprisoned on the planet and cant leave. They have all died except for him. Something the humans do enable his ablility to Leave. Much like how Hercules freed Prometheus, i think David will free this Fallen Jockey.

Speaking very esoterically here for discussions about religion (and politics) usually don't go too well, but let's suppose that "God", sometimes referred to as "The Great[est] Scientist" used evolution as a means to create life on Earth? Thus, the first chapter of Genesis is overly summarized leaving out a lot of essential details. "New Earth"-ers believe that the 6 days of creation were literal. "Old Earth"-ers believe that the 6 days of creation were not literal, but each day encompassed an unspecified time period (some exceeding a billion years). Then you have the "alien-seed" theorists that believe that a superior race "seeded" life on this planet and the human race, after shamanism, adopted this overly complex and mystical story concerning our origins (enter "religion"). Some see religion as an evolutionary stepping-stone during an intelligent races' development (unfortunately, necessary). I make no claims in regards to my own personal belief(s). All of the above is for esoteric discussion purposes.

I personally dont think this has any biblical portrayal to it. Judging by the holographic images of a vast array of other solar systems and galaxies and alien lifeforms, I just dont see it. Religion is a powerful tool on earth with billions believing in it's existance. Challenging that premise and current belief system would ultimately make a more interesting movie IMO. I just dont see excitement and terror coming for GOD.

Think of it from the perspective of a primitive people. Like Sitchin has pointed out religions are like cargo cults. When the pacific islanders were visited by modern militaries during WW2 the moderns built airfields on the islands, gods from the sky brought many amazing things to the island world. When the gods left the islanders built runways and airplanes from sticks and straw hoping that it would attract the gods to return.

I think this movie is going to go about the idea that the God/Gods was indeed another Alien Race of highly advanced technolgy and understanding.... or maybe thats what the crew hope to find. But maybe it proves they are not so. And maybe the Engineers pretend to be Gods but are not... This does not then imply that the movie will have a real God i dont think thats the case at all. As far as the Devil goes a few questions for you all. 1) What does the Devil look like? 2) What sins did he do? 3) How many people does he ever kill? The truth to those answers may indeed shock you..... dont forget that Budist Monks and even Gandi are seen as Demonic in the context of those who follow the Bible. Lets just say the Space Jockeys are far more nasty than Satan, but no where near as Nasty as maybe the Real God.....

You have to remember that in many civilisations their are Gods and not a God. Yes there may be a head God but this head God are not portrayed as a different class of being, just a more powerfull version of the other Gods and thus King of Gods. In the Bible and Koran their is one God and his Angels are a different lesser beings.

@ Big Dave... The Devil, is actually my true speciality... The figure known as the Devil, as known as Satan, once an angel called Lucifer. Satan, comes from aramaic Satanel - Accuser of God Lucifer, which is greek means morning star. Aramaic translation Heylel - Guidance/Hope of God. Thus Satan and Lucifer or more correctly Heylel are two separate entities. Lucifer, the fallen angel, fell from grace in the eyes of God. Why? because he said NO, when God asked the angels to bow before man as the would before God. Why did Lucifer say NO? Was he wrong to say NO? IMO the answer is NO! BTW, I'm not a devil worshipper (honestly).

We may have different civilisations who mention Gods who came from the Stars, who flew down on beams of light etc, that could mean nothing. But thats more proof than Science has regarding the beging of time. Satan had freewill, ambition he had knowledge that only God had, he become proud argogant and came to conclude why should God be the supreme ruler, he wanted to be equal to God, wanted to allow the angels to have the knowledge and freedome that God gave him. He decided to pass onto Adam and Eve the knowledge and freewill. Without that, Adam and Eve would have not sinned, they would never had broken any rules like the 10 comandments they would have seen God as the all mighty power. Every aspect of freedome of will and speach, ambition, knowledge and persuit of the truth and science as opposed to doing what one set of rules governs is the only Sin Satan did. Look at the Queen, years ago a King/Queen was seen as all powerfull you basically did what the Monach wanted, if they said jump you say how high and if you never then your dead, the Kings could do what they want take what they want... just as Gaddafi did. Nowadays many people can see themselves as equal to the Royal Family, yes they are richer and powerfull but we are all Humans and we all have the same rights. We have freedom to say we dont support or want the Royal Family without fear of being hanged. Well thats all that Satan did against the King of Gods in YHWH! or Enlil/Zeus

@Bigdave - Gadaffi, is a muppet. As I stated Satan and Lucifer are two separate entities. And when looking at religious texts, you have to take two things into account... 1. When they were written. 2. How they were compiled. In the Koran it confuses Satan and Lucifer as the same individual, when they are not. In the Bible and the Torah Lucifer/Heylel is a voice of reason (Guidance/Hope), whereas Satan is a voice of lies (Accuser of God). The Koran also states that Lucifer/Satan was a Jin, a class of angel granted the gift of free will, as was man (and also the first woman Lilith, whereas the second woman Eve was subservient to man). This does not appear in the Torah nor the Bible, only the line "Lucifer, exalted above all angels." Which does not actually state that Lucifer was an angel, just that he is exalted above them in Gods eyes. Lucifer became a Jin in the Koran to explain his ability to voice his opinion, an opinion of which God heeded. "For he was cast down to earth for 1,000 years." When Lucifer said he would not bow before man he claimed than man was not as magnificent as God, and was sent to earth to prove his point. On earth Lucifer and his loyal followers showed mankind their free will (leading to Adam and Eves eviction from Eden) fire (technology) and the art of war (as shown with Cain and Abel). Upon their return to heaven Lucifer and his followers, now shadows of their formerselves were refused entrance in Heaven, beginning the First War in Heaven. This war was ended by the Archangel Michael felling Lucifer. Lucifer and his followers were then banished to Hell, until judgment day when they would be judged by the eternal fire.

Thats the thing you see. There is no real proof for either theory, Created by other Beings from Space..... have you met our Alien creators? Created by God..... have you met God? Created via Evolution and Big Bang..... was you around at the dawn of time. I doubt it and neither was i, its one of the greatest mysteries as to how we came to be, where we came from and where we are going and i guess we dont have the answers. In the case of God, well i guess only when we die we will find out if that theory is correct. In the case of Evolution when you die, thats it nothing. I have captured on film some strange things, but i cant say 100% they are Aliens or UFOs there could be explanations. But i had seen 100% a Triangle UFO the TR3 but i cant say its Alien, i think its purely secret Goverment Black Project
