Ok, so you can believe this or not and I am actually finding this to be more correct with each new trailer and reveal. About 4 months ago, I was told by 2 people (that I know in passing from doing horror film convention work) a major point in the film and up until now I was just kind of not believing it but this newest trailer seems to confirm it. At the convention, it was well know that there were a few people there that were rumored to have worked on the film and I am sure they were inundated by many that were trying to find some answers or a scoop and the 2 I had spoken with were only giving up one (and a half LOL) piece of information. That was that the Space Jockey Race of alien are dead/ extinct. They said there is another race that look to them as gods and in doing so, made statues and temples around a piece of working/remaining technology ( Now known as the Juggernaut). This is the blue guy (I am guessing) They also said that the movie will not have any direct connection to the ship found on lv-426. That is to be left unexplained in as much as we only find out what that being was that was flying the ship. So I am not saying I believe this 100% but it is starting to look like it holds some truth.

Yes, I think you're on to something there---There's too much absolutism in the speculation that keeps people from thinking that the SJ's and the Engineers ARE actually two separate and distinct "races", species, "gods", whatever... They might be, they might not. But the creatures we are seeing on the "playback" with the trunk like thingys do NOT move like SJ's and do NOT look like SJ's at all to me.

Ha ha, I've only been saying this for a couple months now. There are too many physical discrepancies between the two.The blue guys' bulk would not fit into the more slender suits of the SJ, is just one clue. The blue guys' are already wearing a suit, and we're supposed to believe they put on another form fitting suit on top of that? Than there are Ridley's words "Gods and engineers." Is this to mean that the blue guys are both gods and engineers, or that there are two different races,gods and engineeers. I believe there may have been a conflict between the SJs and the engineers, and the SJs lost. Or maybe one race was indigenous to that planet, and one was an invader.

Ive been thinking there are two races as well. The "Gods" use the saucer ships and the "Engineers" use the U shaped craft or vice versa. It could be like an entropy type thing as well. The "Gods" terraform,create life, and bring order while the "Engineers", create disorder,chaos, and destroy or vice versa.

I guess we just have to wait and see. As i heard off one so called insider who saw some concepts and props that.. 1) There was 4 Space Jockeys in this movie, this may mean 4 different ones played which could inc the Hologram scenes and not mean we see 4 actual live Jockeys in this movie. 2) They showed me images of Worm Eel things which did look spot on but now only the Holoway Eye one looks spot on the other larger one looks a little different. 3) The Person said the Proto Xeno had 2 to 4 Tenticles, Legs and 2 arms. 4) They said that Fifield mutates to something that looks like Pumpkin Head. 5) They said that David is changed to something. Well now the new trailers are out i am thinking that person was talking BS?

I ALWAYS thought that the Space Jockey was just like the crew of the Nostromo. A shit-kicker for something else entirely.
