I just recently read the original O'Bannon Alien script for the first time and it's pretty cool how some of the concepts that didn't find their way into Alien look like they're coming together for Prometheus. 1. Temples/Pyramids 2. Urns instead of eggs 3. The Alien lifecycle/mural Anyone notice other homages to the original Alien script? Seems to me that even after all these years that script has still left an impression on RS and he's putting into Prometheus some of the things he couldn't do with his limited Alien budget/SFX. Looks like it will be a great film and no, I don't think it's a direct prequel or remake. Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed/enjoyed these little similarities to the original script.

I think O'Bannon might be proud to see what Scott has done.

Just thought of another one. The original face hugger design from his drawings was more squid-like. It had tentacles that wrapped around the face, not "fingers".

i too enjoy knowing that RS has collected old ideas from the original... nice homage to great ideas. especially pulling giger back into the fold! Once I saw giger was involved, i was ready to go to my savings account to see prometheus several times!

i noticed early on, and after i began to see the images, not only was it a great nod to the greatness that is / was Don O'Bannon, but the greatness that is Ron Cobb i'm enamored with the fact that Ridley seems to have delved deep into the early pre-production story concepts / visual concepts for ALIEN when he was forming the story and look of PROMETHEUS it's almost a bit of a creative redemption for O'Bannon in regards to what Giler & Hill did to O'Bannon's initial story for ALIEN
