Hi there! Been reading your thoughts for quite a while. Have to say there are some very good points to be taken, others not so much, but to me is the thought process that counts [and imagination is something I praise you for]. This is my personal take on what Prometheus will be like [or at least [i]as I wish[/i] it will be like]: 1 - Simple, straight story developing and as much "in your face" as it can be [keeping it simple is a very good way to make room for speculation]. 2 - Big "universal meanings" questions relying on dialogs between the crew. 3 - Big "universal meanings" answers relying on actions [bloody ones, I might add]. And that is all. The only thing I dread is the over-use of CGI [Please God make it not so!!!!] Grato [portuguese for Cheers]

Don't worry about the CGI Ridley prefers actual stuff then CGI! I think the alien is a guy in a suit!! LOL

to Synthrimonger94: Nice to meet you. LOL, yeah. But watching the SJ strapping him self on the Chair/Gun made me go like "uh-oh... too much CGI there"

Hiya David 1. :D I wouldn't worry about CGI. Funny thing is sometimes it comes out great and the non-CGI effects suck. Case in point, Alien3, people cry about the CGI being terrible, but the joke is almost no CGI was used, it was all puppets!

Hi Svanya, In Alien3 puppet footages composing over real shots were sucks about color correction and same for pod acting goes through planet or scenes like sun goes behind the planet and glows and then darkens was terrible. That's why people cry... A film like this needs perfect CG but Mr. Edlund did something without budget :)

Hiya Svanya, nice to meet you: Yes, sometimes CGI is very well done and when put at the right place in right amounts it can become a visual fest - thinking Terminator 2 as an example - but too much of it can ruin things - Matrix Neo fighting with the multiple Smiths. I want to believe that Sir Ridley has discerniment enough not to over-use it. @ LV 223 WRECK: Pleased to meet you friend. You're right. God and the Devil are in the details.

Just the shot of the Prometheus going over the cloud surface is proof that a good creative director is on board.... There will be however those shots delegated to incompetent artists that ruin the effect...like in Star Wars Phantom Menace, the two headed commentator for the pod race...that was an amateur hour artists work

Hi the coming, nice to meet you: I believe you are right about some misuse of CGI. The SJ strapping him self seems a bit over the top and I tend to make a funny face whenever I see those glimpses. But still confident its going to come out just right. Grato :D
