That means similar in tone and style, playing to similar themes and ideas, and set in the same universe as Alien.
Don't expect a literal Xenomorph double-helix or anything dumb like that.

read the script, the 2nd draft contains most of what sphaits wrote and a little of lindelofs vision, people are saying its fake but it isnt its the proper draft before lindelof adds a few extras but the engineer stuff in draft 2 is what will stay in the movie.

its been confirmed that the opening of prometheus is a 10 minute in the beggining part, the 2nd draft (so called fake) starts with an in the beggining section. Its the real script. Lindelof blasted it thats its not because he knows they dropped a bollock when 4 copies got lost and those copies are draft 2

I think we'll see xenos, but based on the engineers dna. From what i can see on the trailers, the engineers have known about the xeno race for years. It looks like they find some sort of holographic security system to me, and the engineers are running scared! From what i'm not sure. I was even thinking the engineers might have xenos for pets, but thats a bit red dwarf. Lol!
I don't expect this film to answer the question of how the original derelict bomber came to be, but to expand on the engineer race. The derelict had been there thousands of years, so was probably an accident. Or was it destined for earth thousands of years ago and sabotaged by "prometheus"?

Oh? You can confirm this script is legit?
I don't follow you; the supposed "fake" script is real because it has the beginning in it? Is that what you're saying?
May 07, 2012
not me but if you look across the web people who run forums specialising in script leaks are even saying it, its everything in the movie except the archealogical section added in 3rd draft and another bit. not being funny but read it, if its fake then the guy who wrote is the best underground screenplay writer to come along in a long time, the way it flows dont seem amateur, rushed or faked at all

yep thats draft 2 minus a few fleshed out details but thats what we will see in the movie, 95% of that will be in the movie lindelof is denying it but he would because he doesnt want the fact out that it is draft 2
May 07, 2012
remember its draft 2, its a spec script. it contains the fundamentals that lindelof will polish for scot to create a shooting script which just has more acurate dialougue and camera angles and stuff.

look at the language used, in the script it refers to the star room (as fans call it) as an orrery, orrery is the proper word for a device that illustrates planets and moons, the person who wrote this script is clued up. A fanboy would of said Star room or pilot room or engineer chair room, but this script refers to it as orrery, that sounds like the person who wrote it is using specific terms not fan forum terms.

Even if that is draft 2 then I would imagine that there must be heaps more drafts made after this one as there is a ton of material in the recent trailers and featurettes that are not mentioned in this script. for example, where is the blue veiny guy next to the waterfall? Where is the snake creature that slips into someone's suit? Where are the scenes of David passing the time (playing basketball on a bike) while everyone is in hypersleep? Where is the mention of the pictographs found around the world?
Real script or not, when all is said and done, the final movie we will see is going to be vastly different from this draft if the recent trailers are anything to go by.

@ Dolfinesque - Can you please stop spamming this ridiculous notion that the script you have read is 100% legit? You continue to conveniently skip over the fact that the writer of the quite frankly terrible script has come forward and admitted it was fiction. It's just getting irritating now. We get it: you think that script is a leak. It is not. Move on, or stop talking about it until you have seen the movie following which I'm sure the forum will accept your apology.
