MemberOvomorphMay-07-2012 1:24 PMKate Dickie's character, Ford, hasnt been talked about much. In one of the trailers, we see her going into convulsions, while something seems to be walking towards her in the temple (if someone can help me with the clip i'd appreciate it). She can also be seen helping the "old man" along through the hangar doors.
Has anybody discussed her significance? And what type of reaction she's having in the temple? It's reminicent of Ash's reaction to the bump on the head in Alien (other than the absence of milk spewing out of her mouth)...and she seems to be in (who we've come to assume is) Weylands corner.

MemberOvomorphMay-07-2012 1:51 PMthats what it kind of looks like in the brief clip Brett. Theres someone with Ford who gets out of the way of whatever it is. Its unknown if that person is helping or not, but havent seen or heard of anyone else reacting that way.

I'd shake too, and probably soil myself as well. Not that you'd see it though, because I would be running like the "hologram" in the trailers...

MemberOvomorphMay-07-2012 4:24 PMYeah, could be just old fashioned shock and fear that can make her shake or the creature or whatever it is, might have some sort of control in order to grab its prey.
The first time I saw the IMAX trailer I thought the cobra thing got inside her suit.

My girlfriend and I love watching movies and laughing at peoples reaction to insane situations. We often find ourselves saying lines like "Wow, she took that well. I think I would be crying and screaming at the same time if I just walked into a room fill with xxxxxxxxx". Peoples reaction in movies are fucked. She seems to be having a very realistic one.

She depicts herself as a competant 'worker bee',,dealing medical situation..and (I assume hand pick by Weyland) to assist David and the crew as needed.
She is in more scenes than a causual viewer might notice..
She is in the know,,Just look at her face after Holloway makes the "..Never Followed a Ghost before.." She sort of smiles because she knows Weyland is alive,,and on the ship..
