Mutated Fifield

MemberOvomorphMay 10, 20121378 Views15 RepliesWell this may have already come up as a topic of conversation, but I missed it if so. The new Prometheus international launch trailer seems to show a mutated fifield in the cargo bay of the Prometheus. His cranium appears to be misshapen in the vein of Hector Hammond a la Green Lantern (crap movie, i know). This scene is at 2:37 in the new trailer. Can't tell who's getting the axe - anyone?

it's a lot harder to tell with the small pic, but his head is definitely elongated and shows the "veiny" discolorations as seen elsewhere in the trailers.

Seems he is mutated into mini version of "Engineer". Definetly he stands in front of the Shaw in the trailer.

I would say that one of the Mercs is getting it, but his first victim is one of the Mechanics.
I would say that some how, be that a bite of the Cobra Xeno or something else, something happens that mutates the crew and it causes the brain and head to swell, i would assume that the Organism gets into the brain and grows and attaches itself to the hosts brain and thus becomes part of its brain.
This would explain the swelling and it would also explain how what apears to be a Snake/Worm like Organism explodes from the Engineer head/helmet the crew collect.

@BigDave
Why would you say any of that and make any of those assumptions?
And what, "worm", exploding from the head? All I saw of that head disintegration was jets of a puss-looking semi-solid and some large sections of, "skull".

In the new trailer, that looks to me like a Space Jokey on the bridge of the Prometheus. What if Weyland has organised somehow to bring a derelict back to Earth? (Would run with themes like Ash's protocol from other films?) And we have it the wrong way around? The Humans dont crash into the derelict, the Space Jockey does it? Like I said before, Space Jockeys could have destroyed Earth long time ago if they wanted to, but they are guardians. Thats why all this parasitic stuff is isolated on this desolate planet Prometheus visits.
