The sound tracks gave to much away? RS says the last 8mins or so will tie into ALIENS and the end track is BIRTH dose this mean SHAWS baby is indeed a xenomorph! but not the one we all love but maybe the 1st xenomorph and then evolving into the alien we all know? 20. Space Jockey 21. Collision 22. Debris 23. Planting the Seed 24. Invitation 25. Birth also why is number 20 called SPACEJOCKY and not Engineers like track 3! Dose that mean maybe SPACEJOCKYS and ENGINEERS are different races?! think we all know what track 21 & track 22 mean?! 24 INVITATION maybe shows SPACEJOCKYS/ENGINEERS comeing to earth and showing mankind technologies and then wateing for mankind to come to them hence INVITATION as shaw says its a invite! Just think the tracks give a hell of a lot away as far as the movie is concerned.. still cant wate though hopefully RS has something up his sleeve that will make us all go WTF :)

Wait a second! 20. Space Jockey 21. Collision 22. Debris 23. Planting the Seed 24. Invitation 25. Birth 22.Debris Obviously the end sequence of the trailers when the juggernaut is falling and they are running. 23. Planting the Seed Maybe the scene where Shaw has the ax, and a jockey/engineer/mutated crew is cornering her...he has sex with her and plants a seed?? 23.Planting the Seed Come on now, weird shit is going to happen. Maybe Shaw gets raped by the jockey. 25.Birth 2 theories: She is the jockey at the control center in the trailer, and plans on crashing the juggernaut. Or, she is left behind and gives birth to the xeno, or some type of close alien or facehugger or egg...Still don't know until I see :)

Originally, I thought they were two different species, but subsequently I was convinced they are the same. However, I am not sure if the Space Jockey space suits are biologically living things, worn by the Engineers. If this is the case, then there is a symbiotic relationship between Engineer and Space Jockey and they could be considered separate lifeforms.

why not discuss this on the original thread?

The tracks of movie soundtracks are usually not in the same order they follow in the film so I wouldn't put too much stock in that. The "invitation" track is proabably the music during the early part of the movie when during Shaw & her b/f are giving their briefing to the prometheus crew.

The Jockeys and Engineers being different species... well I refuse to speculate. Tracks titled Jockeys and then another called Engineers may refer to first discovery's be the Prometheus crew. For instance discovering the physical remains of a jockey and meeting an Engineer would need totally different music and theme tunes, because at first they may not know (and I assume the jury is IN on this) that life on Earth was kick started, designed, or planted).

ACTUALLY most movie soundtracks I've seen don't necessarily keep the tracks in order - one example is the original soundtrack for alien: "Main Title" (3:30) "The Face Hugger" (2:32) "Breakway" (3:00) "Acid Test" (4:35) "The Landing" (4:29) "The Droid" (4:40) "The Recovery" (2:44) "The Alien Planet" (2:28) "The Shaft" (3:57) "End Title" (3:02) I could post examples till my fingers fall off, but I dont' care that much and I doubt anyone else does either..

I think the original soundtrack was broken up like that because of the LP and cassette side time limits. Same things happened for Starwars and Superman etc. soundtracks.

ACTUALLY most movie soundtracks DO keep the order pretty darn close: ALIENS Original track listing: 1."Main Title" (5:10) 2."Going After Newt" (3:08) 3."Sub-Level 3" (6:11) 4."Ripley's Rescue" (3:13) 5."Atmosphere Station" (3:05) 6."Futile Escape" (8:13) 7."Dark Discovery" (2:00) 8."Bishop's Countdown" (2:47) 9."Resolution and Hyperspace" (6:10) the score for ALIEN had an issue: "The music was performed by The National Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Lionel Newman. However, the music was not originally used or heard as intended. The score was substantially cut for the released versions of the film"

Well i said before we cant say for sure if the tracks are in order because Hyper Sleep is about 6/10ths of the way down.... I think Space Jockey refers to the scene they would do, where we get to see the Derelict in Alien take off etc and Plant the Seed maybe that could be them showing us how the Eggs get onto that Ship. If Invitation is based around the same scenes, and not the beging and Cave or the Scene where Shaw and Holloway tell the crew about their findings. Then if it is part of the last 11 mins of the movie, then Invitation does not make sence unless the Derelict on LV426 leaves LV223 within the same time frame of Prometheus movie and is not set prior so that would make Prometheus a direct prequel if so.

Could also be that the Engineers are called Space Jockeys once they fuse with the chair.

That's what I've always been thinking. Humans call those beings Engineers (or possibly they define themselves as such), while "space jockey" is not a race, but rather a function, or a title. Space Jockey is whichever being pilots the Space Croissant, be it an Engineer or a Teletubby.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born. Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.
