Hey guys, I made an incredible Xenomorph costume using supplies from Home Depot and Canal Rubber, and made this crazy music video on the streets of Manhattan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHks9qKckrs It's an homage to the musician Sting, but mostly to the Alien(s) franchise (including Prometheus). It's jam-packed FULL of references to the films (some obvious, some not so obvious) - including three references to Prometheus (one obvious, two pretty cryptic). Also features my in-laws (who don't speak English as a first language) re-enacting the famous "Vasquez Pull-Up" scene from Aliens... Check it out!

You know, I instinctively thought, "Oh, good grief: more spam garbage" - but I watched it anyway. When I did, you can imagine my tremendous surprise to find that this is really a very well-made short film, full of character and charm. Excellent Editing. Well done. If you want my, "bad news", I'd say cut the "Vasquez" sequence and the Epilogue - which I say because it doesn't need them, it's more than strong enough without those distractions. I think you should feel good about this.

Thanks! A LOT of hardwork went into it - I spend a ridiculous amount of money on foam, plastic piping, pipe insulation, latex, black duct tape, a lycra body suit, plumbing supplies etc fpr the costume, and I spent about a full week of hardwork on constructing the costume. So I'm glad people like it! The video itself took three weekends, plus another long session of editing it down to just 4 mins. We had to travel all over NYC just to film tiny little brief scenes...e.g. a lot of the street signs and business names have specific meanings, so I had to drive to the furthest corner of Brooklyn just to film a 2 second clip outside "BISHOP Kearney High School". Eagle-eyed viewers might pick up at least 10 such references sprinkled throughout the film, and numerous other subtle nods. See what you mean about the Vasquez and Epilogue cut scenes, but I just wanted to indulge my wife's family a bit - that aspect was mostly for our entertainment, plus I thought the "game over" dialogue was a nice way to end. Gonna post a bloopers/out-takes/bonus material video maybe later this week...

Yes. I can see the effort: making a film like this is not easy - I was just imagining the colossal shoot ratio..... Of course - I did think as much.... Perhaps a sly Alternate Cut?...Just, "for your files"?....Then no-one is offended.
