In the initial cut of Alien, the Alien possessed a complete life cycle, with the still-living bodies of its victims converted into eggs. However, the scene showing this final stage was cut for reasons of pacing, leaving the ultimate origin of the eggs obscure. This allowed Aliens director James Cameron to introduce a concept he had initially conceived for a spec script called Mother (queen)
So, do you reckon this Scene is now in Prometheus? could be the tie in everyones looking for perhaps.
my theory is that over the years our 'creators' have been abducting us and converting us into xeno eggs over the millions of years humanoids have been in existence....and that the second mouth of said xeno is a result of our cobra friend being attached to the inside of the pre xeno lifeform using bio mechanical engineering.
or perhaps the worm infects the host, grows in the brain, head gets decapitated and turns into an egg perhaps. Fifields head after mutation when he jumps onto another crew member looks very egglike and 'leathery'
