I'm thinking that perhaps 'we' are the Ova/Ovum and perhaps the Cobra-eel-Facehugger is the 'sperm' and in entering our bodies they in some way 'incubate us' and/or 'fertilize us' as eggs-to-be and we thus TURN into eggs as a result! Its true it could hop into multiple hosts in a sort of panspermia type affair. But maybe the Shaw infestation being female is a better plausability as I think the first proto-Facehugger-Egg is 'grown' within her and as such is then cesarean sectioned out from within her womb! THUS, the alien Xenomorphs hybrid life cycle begins in earnest!!!

Good God. To be honest, the lifecycle is already a little odd, if not damn stupid, (relying completely on nobody being around to immediately kill the hell out of it and/or whoever it impregnates in the first place) - but, [i]now,[/i] it's jumping from one dead host to another because it needs a female and too stupid to know if it's a female the first time? What if there isn't female handy? As it's too stupid to recognise a female, what if it pick a male again the next time? What if it's in a room of 20 men with flamethrowers and by the time it's killed the first 2, the remaining 18 figure out something really isn't quite right with what's going on and then decide to burn the jumping fool of a worm and the 2 bodies it raped into ashes whether number 2 was a female or not and before it can carry on jumping and while they figure out what is to be done next? If host number 2 does turn out to be a female - and if, luckily, she is all alone - then how is she supposed survive and explain the big hole from the jumping worm that has burrowed into her body? Plus, I don't know many women who would much feel like sex after that, if you do, you're the lucky one. Let's say she does feel like sex and she can forget and/or excuse the big worm hole - what if there's no-one around for her to have sex with? The stupid jumping worm just has to hope she forgets about the big hole and wait for her to have sex? What if she's a nun and doesn't have sex? What if she's a lesbian? What does the worm do then, go on another jumping safari and hope it doesn't attract too much attention? Sorry: personally, I think this suggestion seems strange, at best. Also, it was Ford, not Shaw.

I'll be really glad when the movie gets here. Even if I don't like it (which is almost impossible) I'll be glad when all these theories are burnt away. The question is will they be burnt from my mind. Probably not.

Like the original when bret and dallas were being turned into eggs allinamberclad - Its an idea that i felt would fit to a degree, going backwards from facehuggers being able to implant anything. I think we need to go back to basics.... Its assumed that what ever the Engineers have in terms of the Urns and the Fire within... is some kind of supstance or organism that can be used to create and manipulate life at the celular level and re-write DNA. Now Shaws Baby has a umbilical cord, this would assume that yes it comes from a Egg Vertilised in the womb, now we know Shaw could say carry Vickers and Janeks Baby in her Womb via surrogate mother method, and i guess your theory is the Organism does such a thing. But i think what we have is that Shaw is made pregnant by Holoway and he has the Parasite and it passes its DNA onto the Embryo that would grow from Shaws Egg. A Embryo is a base form of a lifeform, they are all every simular, this lifeform develops and changes a lot in its latter stages and by Stage 3 every different creatures Embryo takes on a shape and design thats different to the simularities they all have at stage 1. Thus a Human Egg that will grow into Stage 1 Embryo is a base form that has less Human DNA that needs to be rewritten by the Alien Organism/Engineers Fire. This is why Shaws Baby changes into something that looks nothing like a Human at all. The fact the changes from Human Egg implanted with DNA from Alien Organism/Engineers Fire happen at a rapid rate are due to the speed that the Xeno Life Cycle also occurs.
