Temple Pit

[img]http://www.filmofilia.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Prometheus3.jpg[/img] As we can see in the scanned holographic image of the Temple, there are one or several pathways that resemble caves that descend in circles from the entrance to some temple chamber (maybe the Head Chamber). But at the center appears a deep pit that links the two points in a straight line. What could be the purpose ? Some sort of fast emergency exit ? The pathway for something dangerous that must be isolated from the Jockeys/Engineers ? Could be the pit seen in a production picture that shows some sort of solidify viscous substance that seems to have fallen down the pit ? Very intriguing ...
