A nod to Ron Cobb in the ship design of the Prometheus?

I noticed a passing resemblance of one of the the original derelict ship designs to the beautiful new Prometheus. After seeing the artwork once again over on another blog “Strange Shapes” article - Making ALIEN I: Script I am convinced there is a nod to Ron Cobb in the design of the bow and the "shoulders" (directly behind the bow) of Prometheus. Notice the similar arrowhead like shape of the bow and the hull segment directly behind the bow on the derelict (a yellow stripe to boot too)... and even though this is a relatively low-rez image it looks like there is a multi-paned glass cockpit / bridge at the very tip just like Prometheus.

Now flip the "Fireproof Windscreen" upside down and you have a portion of one of the original designs for the derelict ship. Thoughts?
