Whoa. Incredible, the contents of the canister are totally different of what it seemed from the initial appearance when the content was semitransparent, not dark.

I think we have enough footage to assemble the whole movie now! Anyway, the last video confirms the bag's contents, and possibly gives a hint of why Shaw appears to be bruised in some shots.

Noomi was bruised, and scraped for real during the filming....talk about dedication! Me thinks there may be an SJ head in that bag??

It's the elephant mask thing with probably a head inside, you see it on the lab table in the trailers.

Exactly Shaw clearly says what's inside the bag in the last clip.

but the urn ... OMG! ... and that little thing in David's finger. But what about the rest of the material? the fluid black / green? Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

and YES! with all the material we have, we can do 40 minutes of the movie ... we just need Prehistory, Mr Weyland, monsters and the revelations of the Space Jockey ... ok just kidding (in partly LOL)

@Shambhala Yes that´s strange. After all the contents of the urn are ampules indeed (and here my respects to someone that said that the content were ampules in a thread many weeks ago). When David breaks the ampule, we should expect that the liquid content would escape. But what he gets is that tiny thing in his finger that seems more of a solid than of a liquid.

I don´t think we have more than 10 minutes of the real footage by know.

Maybe it's just some SJ prank, they plant them throughout the universe and look for the species who are most gullible. Hence them being dubbed Space Jokers. Or not...

@centrosphere yes, it is something solid and small ...Nano-Biomechanoid? And the fluid ... could contain more of these things? But what is remarkable is the similarity that had the ampules with a facehugger...but now we know it contains something mysterious and small. This material may have been used for the evolution of the hominid ancestors of Man. But what David has in his hands maybe is set to design a biological weapon ... an evolution based on mutations pra urning the victim in the perfect soldier (or the perfect monster)

Jay-Tee, yes David is the synthetic, and thats maybe the problem.. the sand storm, looks like its not only sand, the particles look quite big and metallic, too..? maybe the whole temple blow up..

I am more and more prone to think that the storm is actual some natural phenomenon on the planet. It seems that it happens in the early phases of the explorations, or anyway not much into the story, because all the characters are still there and nothing has possibly gone wrong, yet. Or it may be that the storm is the first thing to go wrong.

May be more solid as it has been cooled down?

huh some thoughts . 1) they intentionally destroy the temple ? IT seems so to me right now .... otherwise they cant know that "the time is running out " only a timer of some sort can tell you that 2) Ive always supported that David is totally innocent ...but this last video make me thing otherwise ...hes too bold and decise opening that canisters .

we are so spoilt with all these clips. when i was a kid in the 70's and saw alien for the first time it was really a shock for everyone when they saw the movie. see the extras in the alien dvd where dan obanon went to all the theatres just to see what peoples resctions were. i feel i know too much already. my curiosity and rabid fandom is spoiling it. damn you internet!!!

@Frantz Yes, indeed we do not know for sure the order of events (although the soundtrack can help) But Shaw has the Space Jockey helmet/head in the scene ... then it is likely that this is the end of the first trip to the temple. And I doubt they destruleron the temple on his first trip as it does not make sense IMHO. (and probably the storm is for natural reasons)

You´re right. At the time here in my country the only way to know something about the movie was reading the newspapers. Some newspapers told that the alien "[i]could change it´s shape[/i]", making us believe that it could assume the shape of a pen for example. It was a big surprise to see the movie back then. But those were different times. I think directors now are learning to take the information deluge in consideration, and profting of it. Actually Prometheus, with all this marketing blitz, will be a great experiment about this phenomena: does the information age helps or hurt the movie experience?

Yeah, I feel the same way too. On one hand I love all these new clips, but on the other I want to be completely surprised when I see this movie. I just hope they haven't spoiled too much for us.

Is it just me or these clips are way too fast ? I mean david opens urns and says "big things have small beginnings". without thinking or computing or relating it with something? Another thing, all the clips are meant for spoiler, i mean seriously fox? you want this movie to get pirated that quickly. it could backfire and affect the epic nature of this movie and it could end up like battleship or similar if the pace of spoilers is so fast.

The sand storm is symbolism for the coming storm of negative events getting ready to occur...

I have a bad feeling about David now, I think he is like a child, he was told something maybe by engineer or saw something and now.. I think he infects the crew, was he promised something by the engineers.. if he released the goo that line makes sense if its true.. says "big things have small beginnings". I want to be real, have real feelings.. if I release the goo I will have that!

i think David will be driven by: 1. Wanting to help Daddy, weyland, live on. Pleasing his creator. 2.Wanting to create something a bit more perfect than a human, a little more like himself (in his own image) these two themes would be very simple to combine and could easily be something that causes him to have a crisis when one conflicts with another.

How awesome is this film looking to be?

I think the Storm is natural. I think the crew on the prometheus see the storm coming on the ships instruments and let the crew know to get back to the ship.

Like Windood said ... and he uses the goo (did David create that goo) on Weyland to make him live longer? ... but he needs to be careful lol ... there ain't MUCH goo in those Ampules ... I know they're less fluid because they're frozen ... even those scenes are cut down too :/ ... I agree the storm is natural ... what's the point of the Aliens summoning a storm ... hopefully this ain't The Mummy ;) ... Yep this is STILL gonna be an awesome movie ... regardless of all the stuff I've seen since I been here ... :) ...

I'd say that the difference in appearance of the ampule contents (between the trailers and the leaked(?) clip) can be explained by post-production CGI. Somebody looked at the clip here and decided the contents needed to be flashier, and so, messed with it. I kinda like the original contents, though; they look more dangerous. (Albeit very much like shards of an ordinary wine bottle, on ice.)
