Is Ridley genius enough to...

It's been done before in films. What if for example he swapped the pilots head exploding to something totally different, nothing major but just he plants little seeds. As everyone seems to think the amount of spoiler trailers will just ruin it all. Ridley must know the hype its generating online may spoil it for people..but at the same time trying to keep it a secret. I have a feeling he may pull the most genius surprises in Prometheus and i can't bloody wait!! RANT OVER!!

Watch the 1979's Alien Trailer again. Little is revealed... and what a great movie.

I think everything in the trailers is true, but, maybe, he is using that trick in some parts...
The decapitated head of David, for example, seems edited. It could be a good way to make us think that the space jockey chair scene is in the end (since David probably dies in the ending, maybe he doesn't) when it is actually in the beginning, like I always figured
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

My take is that Fox said, ok, you can have your R-rating, but to make up for the box office dollars we'll lose with the 15 year old crowd, we are gonna promote the #@*& out of this to make sure we get the word out.
After all, no one HAS to watch/read the spoilers right?

Hail Thethar guys... Been reading you for more than a month now and it's become an addiction. I agree totally with Dave1 on this: i just watched all the trailers of the 1rst Alien on Blu Ray and it's state of the art, really. You never get to see the creature not even a glimpse. That meant that even if you did see the 1978 trailers you would never have seen it coming. If this still applies to Prometheus... then we have seen nothing yet. And that's a relief because like so many of you i started to think if we were not shown too much with the last extended trailer... For me it's D minus 11 days 3 hours and 41mns i live in France OPENING PREMIERE 29/05/12 AT MIDNIGHT GOT THE TICKET AND MY 3D GLASSES... I've been waiting 33 years for an explanation to the mysteries of the Space Jockey (i'm 39) THANKS RIDLEY!! i'm gonna check the trailers of his other films (Blade Runner especially) to check if my theory is correct of course... Because no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!! See you Alien Freaks...

There was an interview of R.Scott in a french magazine (l'écran Fantastique)last month with a very interesting fact, I'll translate:
-"What was the most complex scene to shoot in Prometheus?"
-"It's about a character we haven't seen yet in the trailers. That concerns both this particular character, the way how he dies AND the consequences which result of his death... AND his death implies something that was created biologically and genetically by David 8 the crews' android. But i have said too much! I stop here because the many consequences/chain reaction in the following events are really very interesting... and it would be a shame to tell you before you get to see the movie."
WELL I THINK UNCLE RIDLEY HAS MANY THINGS IN STORE FOR US!!

He's a geordie, so genius comes naturally to him. And as for spoilers, why are they called that?? They spoil nothing. They mainly plant the seed inside us making us write on these forums to try to get answers. It's film promotion as an art form. Sir Ridley knows what he's doing. If he didn't think he could do this film and story justice, he would never have made it. I can't wait.
