MemberOvomorphMay-20-2012 7:40 PMConsidering what I've seen here on the spoiler board an what has been being discussed, I was curious since this seems to be involving the whole of genetics an biology, would you all say that Ripley in resurrection is the end product? a human, with acid for blood an strength of an alien an retaining almost all her memories over the course of time? One would think that would be the case...or maybe a fluke? just curious, this thread might be in the wrong board, but then again with all the spoiler talk it just seems natural.

Engineer Xeno - Chr1s
MemberOvomorphMay-20-2012 7:46 PMIf the engineers/space jockeys or whatever did create humanity and the xeno's then essentially ripley in Resurrection is the combination of two genetic experiments, the hybrid being a more messed up and inefficient one. I find it difficult to consider Resurrection as canon even though its meant to be due to the fact I find it somewhat silly and simplistic while trying to be ambitious.

Engineer Xeno - Chr1s
MemberOvomorphMay-20-2012 7:47 PMp.s. i did not really intend that thread to relate to the engineers just putting the theory both mankind and xeno's are experiments.

MemberOvomorphMay-20-2012 7:51 PMIf by, "the", end product, you mean the objective, as far as the, "Alien: Ressurrection", storyline is concerned, I'd say: no.
The Story declares that she was, very obviously, nothing more than a by-product, not the objective.
If you mean could she be analagous to an intended product of the Prometheus Storyline, I would say: no, again - but something like her, a forced merging, could be another accidental by-product...
