The Helmet Melting Scene

I was watching the Champions League Final on FOX yesterday and they ran a Prometheus spot. Most of the footage was familiar territory. But one thing that was different for me was the "smoking helmet/hands to the helmet" shot. This version lingered on half a second more than I'd previously seen. I rewatched it several times to see if it really was who we think it is getting burned and still couldn't tell for sure. But on the third viewing I noticed that something was going on with the lower front end of the helmet (or inside the helmet). At first I thought it was a Hammerpede coming up from inside the suit. But after going frame by frame on the DVR I couldn't be so sure. It could have been projectile vomiting by whoever was inside or a change in the helmet itself. Anyone else seen this shot and is in a better explain what I was seeing?

Don't have it. I should have screen grabbed it at HD resolution and I didn't think to. It is here at the tail end of this Charlize Theron Featurette though the size is so small you just can't make out enough detail. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzOUDqz4beY I'll keep my eyes open for that shot on TV. Here's a screen grab from that featurette. I thought maybe it was his skin burning off but the movement doesn't correspond 1:1 with the way his head was moving so it seems to be either the helmet or something inside the helmet. Just kinda curious as to [i]why[/i] the helmet would suck inward the way it does...the atmospheric pressure outside the suits would have to be substantially higher than what we're used to...but we se thm wandering around later without helmets and no ill effects from atmospheric pressure. Still, a really cool/horrible/neat/awful-to-think-about bit of scenery. :) I can't wait for the 8th!!!
