Theory. Title Prometheus stole the location of SJ homeworld

I'm actually beginning to suspect that the Engineers homeworld is Earth

If it's true that Earth is/was their homeworld I would say that Prometheus (one of SJs race) did something in the past what in effect "erased" all their (SJ's) recent knowledge and awareness and turn them into us, "casual" humans and after that he left to location where Prometheus head on a mission living clues on earth about this location (cave drawings). Sounds silly and naive but to hell with it, it's just a theory for open minded readers/fans.

I just can't figure out how to fit all those genetic/DNA alien creatures into this theory.

I'm beginning to suspect that WE(humanity) are Prometheus. The myth- Prometheus was a titan that gave man fire and man evolved and the titans all died out. Prometheus was severly punished for giving man fire. The movie- has mankind arrive in a spaceship named "Prometheus" we accidently give away "fire" - perhaps our DNA? - and in return we are severly punished/and it spells the doom of all mankind

The secret and key to all of this is that buried deep in our past is a forgotten knowledge and the vrey tail end of all of that is when we 'civilized' ourselves and only after our ruins are falling apart are we begining to piece together the forgotten legacy of a 'long-lost civilization' - a MASTER civilization! And perhaps it ties in that their base while residing here upon Earth was (here it goes) Atlantis - at least the use of a Atlantis idea. But a mini continent base from which they conducted all of their activities. Just a clever way to interwove the ancient myth stories with a near-plausable narrative that SOME lost ancient information DID INDEED EXIST!! Once. And I think they will inter-weave the ice age melting with that of the Great Flood idea and a cleansing of the old world is maybe wiping clean all of the evidence because of the war of the Elder gods and the Yonger rebellious gods. Space Jockies and Bio-Engineers and the war happened upon ancient Earth, they were deposed and sent away for their petulence and ancient Earth had to start over again. Fast forward perhaps a hundred thousand years and we are going to open up a whole can of worms thus allowing this war to resume and run along to its ultimate and deadly conclusion!!!

I think you are on to something too Takka. It is a good idea too isnt it! That Earth somehow holds the key to all of this. Once again, things hidden within plain sight of us ... Da Vinci Code in a way...
