Strikes me that this is the mature version of the squid thing Shaw extracts from herself in the med-pod. So the head is out of shot or through the door possibly where the Engineers legs are........if it is infact the Engineer, it could be Holoway. The Squid thing might be defending Shaw due to residual attachment as she in essence birthed it.

Hey with Lindelof on board.... Maybe the grown up cuddles gets into the Derelict and we see her slip inside a SJ suit.... then fade to black lol....

xenotron the theory may seem stupit i know, But i really dont think we have seen the sj out of suit yet! itis possable that the size of the new alien could fit into a spacejocky suit maybe thats why they are so big. would shaws baby really grow this big in this time? if so that squid must have a very short life span?

From what someone told me.... the door will be open... He said that the movie from what point he said it would take could go... 1) lead to a Prequel to Alien... so that must mean that maybe there are no certain 100% fact or clue that can rule out the Derelict from being able to take off again or ever getting to LV 426, or even that LV 223 becomes LV 426? Like wise the out come of the Engineer, maybe we see him get implanted with something from Cuddles and at the end of the movie we no 100% closure or fact to the Engineer is dead, done dusted..... maybe that could get us thinking.. ahhhh maybe the Engineer is going to chest burst some new creature... 2) The movie will go into a reboot, or a completely new franchise again about some Alien Organism that implants things into Hosts and causes them to change or maybe birth new Organisms. He did say that we would see more simularities with Shaws Cuddles to the Xeno and Face Hugger than we do with the Cobraxeno to a Face Hugger, and hinted the creature is basically a Face Hugger of sorts.. it has the same purpose but does not die after doing its job...

It looks like story and design retread from StarBeast. The SquidAlien may be impressive in the theatre and derived from the Mountains story, but it just looks crappy to me. I kinda am on the fence about the SJ being a suit. Wish it weren't. I hope Scott's design choices here don't diminish the story. He's good, but anyone can have a bad day... Oh and everytime I see the red tracking balls I think photon torpedo. Anyone else???

I really can't wait to see what this creature looks like, not because I am excited but because the so far I am a tad disappointed. I hate the idea of the creature being a mass of tenticles with legs. The clip shown, I hope has or is going to have more CGI applying to it before release. At the moment it's a bit syfy channel monster movie? Sorry guys I am a hardcore fan, but I can't lie my heart sank when I saw this clip. I hope to be pleasantly surprised when we see the creature in all it's gory glory. Am I the only one who feels like this?

Maybe this is not Shaw's baby? Perhaps after this scene is where she wakes up on the lab table with the doctors overlooking her unconscious. Maybe this creature some how out trying to be an alpha eliminated the SJ to impregnate the female which is Shaw. ... That could explain thee other scene of her cut open to give birth to a baby alien. Maybe this is the next gene closer to a classic Xenomorph. Earlier generation not quite evolved yet.

Interesting.......I was looking at the HD version earlier and thinking how amazingly real it looked, down to subtle physical details, distinct texture on the limbs and the way it's lit by sources within that environment. Someone on another thread commented that it must be practical, so I guess they're as myopic as I am...........
