I had one concern recently, so I'm eager to share it with you guys and ask what you think. Beware, there are heavy spoilers ahead, DO NOT read if you don't want to be spoiled.
So, my concern is about how much the trailers show off about the movie's plot, especially about some lethal casualties of the Prometheus crew members. It is pretty safe to assume now about how some characters would die in a movie:
1) Cpt. Janek, Ravel and Chance. Sacrificing themselves during the suicide run.
2) Holloway. Incinerated by Vickers.
3) David. Lying in the hologram room without a head, probably deactivated.
4) Milburn. Died/mutated from the cobra snake.
5) Fifield. When became a mutant, practically dead already.
6) Vickers. Probably smashed by a Juggernaut(God I hope that not true).
7) Couple of mercs and mechanics killed by infected crew member(s).
So, in your opinion, does these all trailers spoiled us too much? Or all of this is just masterly planned plot rabbit whole, developed by trailer makers to distract fans?

MemberOvomorphMay-23-2012 1:59 PMLike we didn't know before all of this investigative journalism got underway that the crew would be killed off...except for maybe the one that got away in the Alien derelict! Have ya seen Alien..it didn't turn out so well for anyone ultimately:O)

MemberOvomorphMay-23-2012 2:01 PM@Vladeslav i surely hope that the trailers havent spoiled it for us. Personally i dont think that they have given us too much. First being that RS has tried to keep so much under wraps that i cant see the trailers really exposing integral parts of the story. Imo even if some people may feel spoiled by what has been seen already, i wouldntget too upset because there still has to be an overall process to reach the goal. Thats the beauty of it all...who did what and how did it happen. Its genius imo.

good observations :) i think holloway will play a big part in the movie and might exist in another way . i think i have seen janek and ravel in a different cabin so i dont know if they escape. the actor who plays chance has spoken of his fate. i dont know if prometheus survives the crash partly ,because it looks like shaw and blue guy is on it aferwards, i think the trailers are misleading. dont forget that weyland will have a sizeable role and he is not really in the trailers.everything to hope for in this film :)

MemberOvomorphMay-23-2012 2:10 PMit's a safe bet that 7 of the 8 mercs & mechanics have an extremely athletic and gruesome death-they are all stuntmen, not actors.

Noone makes it out, thats what we should assume. thats what the trailers DIDNT spoil for us. the surprise will be who makes it.
Janek never had a chance...he's the black guy.
and the kamakazi collision could serve to wipe out more of the cast than we realize...or less.
anybody ever determine if that lame looking "poster" of like 5-6 crew members running for cover under the collision of the ships was legit?

MemberOvomorphMay-23-2012 3:00 PMPerhaps Janek makes it close to the end but i see him dying after the collision. Captain goes down with his ship... Well in 28 Weeks Later the black guy flying the helicopter survived or so we think he may have in the end rescuing the two children.

Then in a behind the scenes style shot, we see the actress getting her faced mapped by a 3D scanner. So some have theorised that the VFX crew made a CGI version of her head so that it could be crushed!

And I don't think Holloway dies there, I think he continues to mutate and the dude in the wheel chair is him[burnt, why he looks old and fucked up]. I like the idea of cuddles trying to kill both mommy and daddy.
