I'm a newbie, just joined. I've been reading the posts for awhile. I am lucky you might say, because whereas many here have been waiting for this movie for two years, I just found out about it via Facebook a couple of weeks ago. I saw Alien in 1979 in theaters. Begged my Dad to let me go see it since it was rated 'R'. I cannot remember when I was this hyped about a movie. Probably the last time was Return of the Jedi or Aliens. LOL. I have extremely high hopes for this film, and Ridley Scott is among my favorites as director and has been since Alien and Blade Runner. Titanic was the last movie I saw in theater, as I usually wait for the DVD. But this one I might not be able to wait.

Greetings fellow newbie! ^_^ I have been a member for a few weeks just never decided to post anything, until now. I have been creeping on this site for months! I'M ADDICTED! I remember being raised by my grandmadre and when I was about 5 or 6 years old I watched "Alien" for the first time! Ever since then I was hooked...and no that is not bad parenting! ;)

Yes it is addicting isn't it? And I don't usually join forums and so on. Thanks for the welcome. Oh I remember how I begged my Dad to let me go see it, so he saw it first and then decided it was okay. My first R-rated movie!!! Such a rite of passage and what a way to begin. I'm practically insane to go see this movie, and that's not normally me. I even have a Wallpaper of the Prometheus flying over the clouds on my desktop.

Yesssirree I call it virtual crack! Same dude. I am one who likes to keep a low profile when it comes to forums and just observe. But when it comes to Prometheus I had to come out of hiding lol! NOICE! Seriously you couldn't get a better R-rated film to start off with! I don't blame you man. Even if this film somehow flops (which I highly doubt), I will still give it the standing O! =D I MEAN C'MON SIR RIDDLES IS BACK BABY!! SO PUMPED! Yeah the imagery they use is beautiful!

@Xenopanda. Virtual crack!! Good analogy! I have sworn a pact that I will not visit the website after the movie comes out until I have seen it. Thing is my hearing is not so good, which is why I usually wait for DVD releases and can enjoy a movie with the subtitles. I doubt I can wait til the DVD comes out on this one. So I will probably see the movie and enjoy it the best I can. Since it comes out in the UK on June 1st, I am now trying to "get un-hooked" from visiting now. Sort of like a slow withdrawal. When I feel the need to login, I deny myself every other time. So I'm only checking in maybe 5 times a day now. Lol
