Hi, new to this, hopefully nobody has posted this before. I kinda waffle with this. What if the end of Alien ties into the START of the film and not the end? Say the film starts with the Sacrifice Engineer, we dont know what is really happening apart from creating life. Rest of film progresses until near the end. What really happened: One or more rogue Engineers accidently create Xeno through DNA tampering outwith what the Engineers usually / allowed to do. One gets left on LV-426 to die by his own creation. Others decide to strand the Sacrifice Engineer on a different deoslate planet for his crimes. The Engineer race key to creating life is their own blood. Life created depends on type of conditions. Sacrifice Engineer knows he's stranded for life, decides to sacrifice himself in knowing he will create life which will evolve into a dangerous form (us) that will eventually wipe them out, meaning he gets revenge. Takes a while to evolve as his blood is dispersed by waterfall / river, resulting life is takes a while to evolve. In Prometheus the black goo is Engineers blood, it forms in a concentrated area through human tampering and creates something more unstable and agressive in shorter timeframe. Cue horror of rest of film but at the end see we were actually the tool of revenge. At the end we see everything that happened on LV-426. Ridley said the Engineer from Alien could be millions of years old. This might tie in.

After that leak from the actor who plays Engineer who i thought was Daniel James from Zoot.... who actually looks just like the Statue and has a Femamine/Masculine face thats symetrical and has some basic acting credentials.... where as the Daniel Twiss (stage name Daniel James) Model has not much acting credentials and despite being not a bad looker for a man.... his face is not symetrical. Anyway i still think that the Water Fall Scene is scene 2-3 and that the Holloway and Shaw scene in the Caves is scene 1-2, i think after their findings and some bits not shown in trailers.... we cut back to the flashback of the Engineer who Sacrefices himself. As far as the black stuff being Engineer blood, i think after that leak, that they have a substance that can break down a Organisms DNA and some genetic substance so as that it can be stored into the Urns.

Cheers for the reply mate. Interesting, i was thinking the voiceover from the trailer from Shaw might be a voice over for some sort of prologue, like Fellowship of the Ring. Still pretty certain about the start of the film being linked to the Jockey in Alien. If you look at the timescales for human evolution it sorta fits with the theory of the jockey in Alien being there millions of years.

A very interesting theory. Which make sense if we are speaking about the end of Alien an then it goes into the beginning of Prometheus. It makes a lot of fraking sense. That is why the whole Premetheous mission exists in the first place because of the signal the signal the Weyland company has picked up, and designated the Nostromo in checking it out.
