Nice post Bradleyhey! Some real lateral thinking here. It's amazing how that switch in thinking can put a totally different complexion on the contents of the various trailers! There is no reason at all why "they're leaving for earth" needs to be referring to an alien. Who says it isn't the Prometheus? It hadn't occurred to me at all. Interesting how one can get dragged into an immediate assumption. Again, great post! Thanks.

That would be awesome, that all that secrecy first, than all the trailers that some find to reveiling, would end up to have misleaded us all the way. hahah I want to know :s!!!!!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. The more Inthink about it the more it makes sense to me. The only person who can cure the infected crew, stop weyland from leaving with the 'virus' and or cuddles is the Space Jockey who literally takes one for the time by becoming infected by cuddles before he kills it. Religious overtones, he was our creator and our saviour. Not long to wait now to find out, can't wait!

No doubt the company is the bad guy! Really if you think about it it's a bit harsh of th space jockey to punish all humanity for the actions of a few thiefs. What I think Ridley will be saying in this movie is: these are your makers 'gods' and look at what kind of monsters they can make. The Space Jockey will be the hero of the piece in my opinion :)

Nice, He (and some other) could have been Prometheus. Banned on that moon for what they have done. would explain how that moon does not look like it has a civilisation. I like the idea of an engineer helping as well. And Weyland and others trying to reach earth with dangerous stuff that could be the end. (isn't that also the alternate ending in Alien R?) those facefuckers (i can't help lauphing everytime since ive seen that name somewhere) are the eagle inflecting pain to prometheus that can regenerate to be hurt again soon after. I know a lot of speculation.

Well looking at Ridleys last interview again he goes on about the Alien Derelict and links with Alien. Reading that translated french magazine interview, it gives massive clues away to the movie and elements in it. This with the Sleeping Engineer aka Bane Guy, do seem to throw the areyouseeingthis and Twitter Girls acounts of the movie, well out of the window. As far as the Engineer goes, there is a lot we dont know yet, will we get a explanation why his sarcophagus is working and why the others are not and have holes in? I think the Engineer is no more evil than mankind.... i think what happens is he becomes shocked that we had advanced to a level where we can find their outpost, and that mankind have tried to play God by creating Andriods and also Mankinds other ambitions and agendas. This Engineer would feel that Mankind has no right and can not gain controll and knowledge of the secrets to creating and manipulating life that the Engineers have. As the last Engineer in this area of the Galaxy, he may no that the consequences of Mankind getting the Engineers secrets and technology could be very serious for the rest of that part of the Galaxy, that we could then become God like to a degree and the Engineer as the last of his kind in this area of the Galaxy knows it would take too much and be too risky for him to just kill off all the crew, then wait for us to come back with more ships and then start that process again. Thus the only real option is to wipe out the entire of Mankind.

Totally understand what you mean about humans getting too powerful. I just don't think It will go down that route, why create life if your just going to destroy it, make no sense just don't create it. I just don't think that in 2 hours they could fit the whole rational to destroying humans in. I think it will be kept simple. Jockeys create us, we find them and start opening pandora's box, stuff gets out of control, jockeys save out ass's and gives birth to the a man made monster. The twist is in Alien when they find the Jockey Dallas and co are looking at god, that was destroyed by men's meddling. Not long to wait and find out :)

Good insights. I thought very early on that we find the Jockeys being punished for creating us. We literally walk in on Prometheus being punished (having his liver pecked out day after day only for it to grow back) - in a mythological sense . Only just joined the forum - so hi everyone Can't wait to find out

If Space Jocky's are the gods to the Bio Engineers and in a sense we are gods to the androids we create then are the bio engineers androids to the Space Jockeys? The Space Jockeys look as though they are a brownish-yellow Xeno egg color yet the Bio Engineers look more blue-grey in their body type. Our androids do look a little pale so could the color difference between the Space Jocky's and the Blue-Greys mean that there are bio mechanical androids here in relation to their gods as our androids are to ours?

Unless there has been some really skillful misdirection the released footage strongly indicates that the Prometheus rams the Juggernaut. I think that is probably what we'll see. But your version makes a better story so I hope I am wrong.
