After this and Sherlock Holmes, I think she'll do just fine in Hollywood. And she has a pretty face, but I can't see her doing any rom-coms so she has a good chance of staying legit...

She's the real deal; a fearless, gifted actress with range. I think she's going to be bad-ass in survival mode.......don't really see her as a glamorpuss, because her look isn't generic enough for that. She reminds me of a dark Cate Blanchett; beautiful but not unapproachably so....very real. I think she'll have a long career with diverse roles.

Yeahhhhh…who likes generic, beautiful, glamorous looks! Haha! Too funny. Fact is, generally people don’t take great looking actresses seriously. Sigourney Weaver wasn’t much of a “looker” either…but that’s why it worked for ALIEN. Real beauties would be too much of a distraction from this type of a flick. I’m surprised the gorgeous Charlize Theron was hired for this film. Too bad her character is not going to survive the expedition. ~N

She has a very different look and personal style. Different, but very beautiful. [i]Prometheus[/i] will be the first film I've seen her in. The more I see of her in the trailers and featurettes, the more I like her. Can't Wait! 13 Days...

Neurion, Ya, I'm surprised that Ridley has a 'pretty' cast. Sean Harris seems like more his type. A comment from the first picture... Nice space axe!

Well, to me Noomi is good lookin in the same way Sigourney Weaver was 'not-along-the-aesthetic-canon' beautiful. They emit some similar kind of magnetic fascination, appeal and strength. If I got it right, Charlize Theron was 'forced' into the movie by Fox studios to add some 'reliably bankable' name, acting and... anatomy to the cats. I think she was casted late and not by R. Scott, so I know they ended up developing and fleshing out her role with her and Lindelof. I think Scott was happy with it in the end, and she will probably do great. It is actually interesting to have a 'beauty' as a part of that project, mostly Theron cause I think she can deliver!

@iapetus Rapace = "Magnetic". Exactly right. I can't even fathom what exactly it is, but it's as if I have to fight my own eyes to take my gaze from her face...I mean, it's f*****g ridiculous.
