In mythology Prometheus stole fire from heaven and gave it to humans. This made Zeus very angry.
As punishment Zeus condemned Prometheus to be chained to a rock and to have an eagle eat his liver for eternity.
If you check the picture in the following site you can see that Prometheus laid on the rock with a hole in is chest is very similar with the space jockey sited on his chair with the hole on his chest too!
