Holloway's Death....

@ Antwandasilva I think he didn't die in that instance. In the trailers there is a mutated guy with the hair torched. Maybe that's Holloway.

look, whatever his fate is, it is HOLLOWAY getting burned by Vickers at the bay entrance. Proved by HD close-up stills, and the fact that it's one clip we have seen edited in the correct order without misdirection.

A interesting and spoilerish note.... The Special Effects team said in a French Magazine, that they had to do a number of Animatronics for two infected crewmembers... Could this imply that Holloway and Fifield turn into something that needs Animatronics before they meet their final end....

If it was Holloway that turns into that Engineer, then i can expect the whole family to be on Jerry Springer... Shaw==== Cuddles Mom, Xenos Grandmother Holloway=== Cuddles Dad, Xenos Mother Cuddles=== Shaw and Holloways Baby... Xenos Mother. And Xeno whos Grandad is also her Mother lol

I think holloway gets infected early on. and it develops .its possibly on the second or third trip out that he starts changing. given that he is central to the story he is going to have a big story arc. at one point janek says to shaw ,"i cant take him home with us. " i terms of shaw its her love interest , so he will either probably bravely sacrifice himself or beleft behind in another form . it could perhaps be holloway vs weyland that would be a classic story :)

@Fury 161 I have seen all that evidence and it is hardly conclusive proof that it is Holloway. You can't really tell who that is.

That isn't Holloway getting burned, we later see Holloway looking in the mirror at his eye after he has been infected and he looks completely fine. That must be some other crew member that gets infected and shows clear signs of it because shaw (from the eye thing aside) looks completely normal.

it is Holloway, a completed segment of that part has been shown, albeit a brief one...obviously this is after the eye inspection in the mirror:simples

So now you can see why I argued that it may not be Holloway a week or so ago, because there are FIVE cut scenes in those 2 seconds with Vickers & her flamethrower ... so it could still be ANYONE ... If that scene was one CONTINUOUS scene with the camera panning around and so not cutting to the different characters, then yes it would be obvious ... also the other thing is, those cut scenes are too quick and do not go together properly anyhow ... Sorry still not budging' from this ... I still reckon it's NOT Holloway ... but I'll be the first to call myself something if it IS Holloway ... lol ...

This has to be from the second visit, after Holloway gets turned. Vickers had the flamethrower and is mad because she told the two main characters NOT to go back to the derelict/temple. Holloway got infected when all made the first trip (hence, when they came back the first time he got Shaw pregnant) and is only showing the effects when they come back the second time. Vickers burns him but, it doesn't kill him. The other infected crewmembers probably come to his defense.

I remember seeing a trailer where a badly burned fellow standing up on what looked like that deck, in front of a very surprised red shirt...I think once infected they don't die easily.

I don't think he dies there. Personally I think the engineer we see following shaw and getting attack by cuddles is the continuing to transform holloway. I can see Ridley liking this idea because it is mother/father/child in conflict in a really twisted way.
