Who wants to explain to me how in Alien 4 ripley's clone would have any of the alien dna. I always understood that those facehuggers simply implanted a juvenile xenomorph in our GI system to nurse and grow. why would any of her dna contain alien dna

@adrift1919 ...mind you i am no genetic scientist. Since Ripley was actually incinerated in Alien 3, i am assuming the company had to use a blood sample from somewhere around the prison to produce Ripleys DNA. Since landing on the planet she was already infected therefore the sample carried traces of the xeno she was carrying (kind of like a blood test tells if a woman is pregnant) and the company either intentionally or could not seperate the genetic material. that is just how i assumed it from all the failed clones and the like....

i'll go with it...but its not as though alien dna incorporates into human dna during the incubation? edit: i take that back...there must be some sort of interchange since the alien takes on characteristics of its host right?

fanboy is right. Anyway, it would have been impossible since the DNA of someone doesn't contain the history of that person. It's a hole like the egg in alien 3. One user in this site made a very good argument in a old post stating that if they cloned Fifield in a sequel, he wouldn't have the mohican haircut or the tatoos. But then, there couldn't be xenos in Alien resurrection. Sometimes there has to be holes...
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids? They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

Yes, xenos draw from the DNA of their host. It's why they come out different depending on the host. The memory thing, genetic memories, is a xeno trait according to Resurrection. That never came up before, but it's totally a thing as of Resurrection. I guess. Not sure what they'd need to remember so badly, though.
