1) All started well: a fantastic opening scene which lets us imagine an ambitious sci-fi film with beautiful plans and a superb 3D ( very natural , without effects of burst but with a real depth ). Technically this film is superb : 5/5 . Everything comes together from this point of view for a total immersion.
2) But THE problem is the absence of a scenario that holds the road and huge inconsistencies scriptwriting . A simple example: ( spoiler ) We learn that the medipod is configured only for men when Shaw wants to use it while it is installed in the rescue shuttle of Meredith Wickers ... a woman , so that she can use it when needed.......... And this is just one example among dozens of others. scenario consistency : 1/5
I realize that Damon Lindelof has struck again after showing us the full extent of his "talent" as a writer on the TV show : Lost :-) . He returned here and beat down a film that could have been epic . The initial idea of general story was good . I think Lindelof has only the title of writer not the talent , and should rather be guided by the words of our national Jean Gabin ( famous french actor ) : "to make a good film you need three things: a good story, a good story and a good story ". It's terrible to insult the intelligence of an audience with such wanderings scriptwriting and think : "it will pass anyway."
My conclusion is simple: I will not see another film with Lindelof as writer ( after Lost and Prometheus ,it's enough , can't stand it anymore ) . Unfortunately I think he was chosen for the forthcoming Star Trek movie project , ouch , ouch, someone please , stop him before it's too late :-) ).
