Cinema 13 At The Scotia Bank Center in Montreal, I have been told today, has perhaps the Largest Imax Viewing Screen in this Country For Prometheus Now. To my Utter astonishment, after hitting up that theater today and after my Overnight Shift from 3 am last night thru 11 am this morning, I discovered this while purchasing my tickets for this event!!! I also cleared up some serious issues regarding which version of the film is best to see. The Largest Imax Viewing screen on this earth is This One... Sydney – Darling Harbour (15/70 mm, 3D).The world's largest movie screen. Montreal's Cinema #13 At the Scotia Bank Center On St Catherine Street for Prometheus ONLY has been fitted with the exact same specs as that theater. The film is offered to Montrealers, or will be , in 3 different formats. 2D 3D IMAX and a new thing Called "Ultra AVX" UltraAVX Do not see this film in Ultra AVX, ask your local theater operator for tickets to the Premier, in IMAX 3D, because, you'll love this... Every IMAX theater that can, worldwide has been encouraged to do this same thing for their viewers on Opening Night alone!!! It'll be the ONLY chance you get to see it on the biggest screen possible !!! In any case... having the Tickets Now just added a whole new element to my own excitement...and as each day goes by and more is leaked I am finding out why it is that some people are having a hard tIme with the Plot...and the reason is THIS... it is exactly what I told you all it would be!!! A Film that does One Thing , has One Purpose... It challenges Everything we were taught about ourselves and our, mankind's, origins!!! & The Truth has Always been the Hardest thing for Man to Swallow !!! I am not saying this Film is IT, but what I am saying is that my understanding is this film puts forth the idea, Just Like I said it would, that WE have had it all wrong, oh so completely wrong for years and years and years!!! Everything we have been taught about the Origin of Man is Made Up and incorrect !!! To me this idea is so exciting because it has never before been done in any film, ever!!! Many have tried, but Not Like This one !!! The 3D IMAX format for theater 13 And the Premier ONLY will use the same Idea as the Ultra AVX presents but without the Moving seats and instead the Screen has been enlarged to match the size of Austraiia's world record holder. The Sound Equipment as well has been enhanced further to make up for the Stationary Chair issue. The Seats will Vibrate but not move around the way the Ultra AVX seats do!!! According to the Theater projectionists whom I spoke with as well, the film has been so shot full of "resolution" at roughly 4 times the Speed of original Film and double what it was for Avatar, in other words at 120 frames per second their is No way to get a Headache anymore from wearing 3D glasses !!! The Human eye has a much easier time processing film shot at this kind of speed!!!. Very Good News indeed. For me the best was yet to come... When I made them pull up the MAP so we could pick our seats, {a real good friend from "Nigeria" is going to this with me}, we Freaked...Only 16 other seats had been reserved so far and yet none of those people took the best spot to be in, in the entire complex....The Symmetrical Center...{actually Just about a few rows in front of that but dead Center- without a doubt the best seats to be in for maximum viewing pleasure}...Which we Promptly snatched up...1st Row, Middle of Three Sections...Just in front of Dead Center!!! Seats 18 & 19 !!! If your looking for me in their that night I will be in seat #19, exhausted, wasted and Laughing my ass off with Glee in the knowledge that I am finally there, the day has finally arrived !!!!!! A 33+ year wait, has Ended !!!

Lucky you your cinema has reserved seats! I will have to go a couple of hours in advance! I wouldn't like having to trade my Imax 3-D ticker for a regulatr one like when I went to see Hunger Games midnight screening!!

@Spartacus As long as the projector can handle that huge screen it would be cool. If the projector is not good enough the image will lose depth and detail

@Spartacus 120 frames per second??? He must be wrong... 120 fps is the rate Peter Jackson used for The Hobbit, that is causing fans to say that the picture looks like an english soap opera from the 70's.

Juxtapaose, 2 things, 1-If Possible and also... in Life, Don't be Jealous be envious, it's nicer than Jealousy I believe and would mean you want only for me to enjoy myself... I would never attempt to correct you I am not saying that, just that being envious by definition has less animosity attached to it I think, lol, 2-Why? Can't you ask your local IMAX theater Operator which format has been enhanced for Your Local Theater? Bonus #3-If they do have one with reserved seating anywhere near you check out the MAP and pick the best of whats not taken...no...?...Most Canadians "prolly" will not even think of this until next Monday at least...no...? Wazzup in other words man?

@Arkadine, Please Do Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is this... Jackson used the same equipment Scott did evidently then but no Normal speed of film is 24 frames per second my man, Avatar took it too 60, and Scott using Cameron's work as Base, drove it up to 120 !!! No film shot in 3D will ever look the same as Avatar {at 60f/ps} did again I believe, ONLY BETTER than that from now on. Prometheus is the first of the next generation of films logging in at a whopping 120f/ps.

Why Juxtapose, I want to know WHY? Is it that you have a handicap preventing you from going to see it in the theater or any such thing? Would have lots to say if that's why, but 1st up would be I am so sorry, I do not mean to GLOAT in any way, just feel kinda happy after this went down today and knowing I have complete faith in Scott and if it sucks I'll be the first to say so, but I for me that's not even any kind of possibility in my mind, It's NOT like Kingdom Of Heaven this thing, it is his Playground he made this in, the subject matter and the images I have seen ROCK !!! This Film Is Already bringing Science Fiction back into the Fold as a Viable and under appreciated genre!...and I still predict the people whom, for me, REALLY DO MATTER THIS ONE TIME, "AMPAAS", SHOWER IT WITH LOVE AT THE 2013 CEREMONY AND IT WILL BREAK DOWN A MASSIVE WALL OF INTOLERANCE, IGNORANCE AND PERVERTED INJUSTICE STANDING IN "PHONYWOOD" FOR ALMOST 90 YEARS NOW!!!

SPARTY! Right there with you in spirit (along with the 33+ year wait too!) Enjoy it my friend. We get so few chances in life to truly enjoy something like this that we've anticipated experiencing for so long. Whatever the story reveals, whatever minor plot holes or mistakes there may be... it will still be... BRILLIANT!
