Annoying lead characters

I thought the film was a very good effort. Nice to see some new effects and sci-fi has been far and few between in the last 10 years due to their sizeable budgets, so this definitely scratches an inch.... however What was going on with the scientist couple? I've never heard of them (actors), their characters were so god damn annoying and this left me thinking... the caster should be shot. Charlize is an amazing actor, why the hell have her play some cold fish while the leading female 'scientist' just plain ain't up for this type of greatness. Such a waste. Why oh why was everyone so gun ho and clueless? Realism in decision making was poor to non-existent. Should have sent the SAS. Totally worth seeing though in my opinion... but Aliens remains no1 following by AVP IMO.

I have not seen the movie yet. But from the clips I have watched I agree with you that Charlize should of received the leading role. I'm not saying that Naomi is not a good actor. It's the other way around. That lady is a fine actor. I first saw her in The girl with Dragon tattoo. She was excellent in that film. But for this role a more imposing figure like Charlize would of fit better.

Naomi was good as always, but her character was written lame. Don't blame actors because all of them are good. But with this plot it was harder to show what they can.

Noomi was great. She's got some strong moves. However...WHY was Holloway written to be such an ass?! He's so godamn mean to David that you don't feel sorry for him eventually.

Didn't recognise Logan either! Thought he was brill in Inception. Just didn't work in this. Sean Harris 'pups' was brill

Just om watching that clip with Favid and Halloway. Halloway does seem like a dueshbag. There interaction is great when Daves offers Halloway a drink. It's almost like David was sizing up Halloway with his question of why did the humans create the androids.

@DeclanK Logan wasn't in Inception! That was Tom Hardy. Me and my girl have always referred to Logan as 'The Fake Tom Hardy' after we saw him in 'Devil'. They should write a film where him and Hardy play brothers. It would work...seriously!

I really liked Shaw as a lead character. What I don't understand is why take all the trouble of saving Vickers from the crash, to only kill her a couple minutes later... crushed.
