Do you really want to know, I just saw the film tonight, FANTASTIC....

Thanks mr. Cawley......you know its difficult for people in a wheelchair to go to theaters...

It's never explained fully. But we see the Engineers frantically running away from something. We never see what exactly. But we can assume it's some Alien creature we have yet to see. It's one of those "left-to-be-explained" moments. I personally love those kinds of moments cause it lets your imagination run wild, while others hate not knowing the reasoning. But that's essentially all that scene is.

The SJ holograms are like a video image play back from about 2,000 years ago, from what I understood they were trying to escape, I think that their life form creations, (as bio weapons), somehow broke loose and the SJ's were trying to escape.....
