So after sitting through an amazing film and loving every bit of it was I the only person who wanted to see the engineer get up after being impregnated, drag himself back to the ship, sit back in his big pilots chair, barely manage to get the thing to take off, suddenly become wracked with agony, loose control of the ship in space and crash land on lv426? Its what the film screamed at me! But noooo! I guess that would be too simple and explain too much, not to mention close a hell of a lot of loop holes and really bring the films full circle. Would also not need any sequels for an explanation ... think I just answered my own question there. The reason why the events of Prometheus CANNOT link back to Alien is because that "forced-landing" happened over 1 millions ago.
