I was hoping for some answers to questions I have been asking for years....
Who are the Space Jockeys and where do they come from?
Why does the derelict ship on LV426 have a cargo hold full of eggs.
Why did it crash?
Where do the Xenos come from and what are their purpose?
I was hoping for at least some of these questions to be addressed.
Unfortunately none of them were.
Instead I was treated to a fantastic looking movie with a very vague plot.
What was the point of the tomb/big head/urns?
Why did the murals change and a storm start?
Why was there a carving of a Xeno in the tomb?
What were the Engineers running from?
Why were their bodies piled up with holes in them but no sign of any Xenos?
Why did David discover the goo but then no more reference is made to it in the film?
What was the point of the dead Engineers head exploding?
Surely they could of come up with something more terrifying than the squid alien?
Why was there no Xeno after snake alien jumped down Milburn's throat?
What did David say to the Engineer?
The "weapons of mass destruction" line from Janek had me cringeing.
Any line the Scottish actress delivered was terrible.
The ending with Shaw & David flying off in the Engineer's ship was ridiculous.
The CGI used for the Engineers made them look like the aliens from Avatar.
This film was made for one reason.
Money.
Ridley Scott has basically made an "Alien type movie" that kids can watch.
There wasnt one scene that scared me in the slighest.
It reminded me of the disappointment I felt when I first saw Star Wars - The Phantom Menace.
Potentially Prometheus could of been one of the best Sci Fi movies of all time.
It pains me to say this but Prometheus is rubbish.
