BIG MOVIE MISTAKE

Ok so I really enjoyed Prometheus BUT the ending wasn't right. In ALIEN the crew board the horse shoe shaped ship and find the engineer/space Jockey in his control pod telescope thingy (refer to my profile pic). SO how did he get back there? As at the end of Prometheus he's clearly died in the human ship after the Queen breaks outta his chest. So WTF!? All they had to do was have him stumble back to the horse shoe ship after his intimate moment with the giant face hugger, get on his control pod, get suited and booted and THEN have the ALIEN QUEEN burst out, that would have solved the mistake and not left people like me going WHAAAAAAT!??

lol i get u! but what if its Shaw?? wat if shes infected? or the ships shes on has a cargo of eggs? one gets out infected her and whilst shes in the pilot seat has to pull an emergency landing on LV426 and sets off the warning beacon! and the engineer being huge in alien doesnt matter now as its JUST a suit so whats inisde could be smaller no? (shaw) and she never gets where she wanted too. I doubt thats it but hey makes you think

How do you know it was the Alien queen? I don't see anything similar at all.

Well they did all different ...so they did also a different ship ...clearly is not the same alien ship and not the same pilot . The most probable explanation is that when the shit did happen some SJ did try to leave the planet on their ships ...BUT ...some were already infected and ONE did an emergency land on the near satellite ( LV 426 ) launching also a warning signal .

I'm agree with you. Let's just suppose the proto xeno you see at the end of Prometheus is a Queen who manage to infect another engineer who get out of the planet without knowing he is parasited ( like Ripley at the end of Alien 2 ).

THIS IS NOT THE ENGINEER FROM ALIEN THIS IS NOT LV-426 seriously people, even I understand that and I haven't even seen Prometheus yet.

To be fair snorkel it is only a very brief reference to the planets/moons name at the very beginning of the movie if you blink you miss it

@ rudywonka... 1. James Camerons sequel is called ALIENS not Alien 2. 2. The derelict engineer craft on LV-426 crashed there well before the events of Prometheus. 3. This new Xenomorph is exactly that, a NEW breed of the Xenomorph, so new its barely even related.

ridley scott did comment on this....he had no idea who the spacejockey encountered in Alien is, but his theory would be it was a jockey who had escaped the same outbreak having been infected

Its a different ship. There were several of them,the one in alien was another pilot with axeno eggs that They must have been working on at another base of theirs.

ahahaha! galacticnorth is right I think. the space jockey in Alien emergency landed there 2000 years ago. the alien is an old species, like the mural shows.. the thing in the end is something new... a new version created by the same black goo, but being different because the mix with halloway and shaw/humans :P

ok, thats a cool idea. So the derelict is way older than the events in Prometheus. now i was just thinking, it would've been cool to have one of Holographic recordings showing events of the LV 426 crash. and that maybe, this Military outpost, was set up to locate it. Being aware of its important cargo. and now Shaws off to investigate..... or something like that...or not.

Why is everyone dissapointed Prometheus doesn't tie into Alien. RS said it is a stand alone movie. This is not LV-426. The SJ race is done. Just because you dont understand how black goo works doesn't make it a big flaw in the movie. Leaving many unanswered questions keeps us guessing with new theories much like many other great movies. Imagine if RS's Alien never had the SJ and never left unanswered questions for us. This movie has nothing to do with Alien so dont be pissed off it doesn't relate.

Prometheus takes place in LV-223, Alien takes place in LV-426. So they are different satellites orbiting different planets of the Zeta Reticuli star system.
