Questions that need answering!!!

Not sure about most of them, but I think something I posted recently in the Spoiler Board could help with 4)

1) The black goo in the containers was held to ?eradicate the human race - but is it the same black goo from the beginning??? - i dont think that is the purpose of the black goo ...the black goo looks to me as the main tool of the engineers to manipulate DNA ...a tool that went out of control 2) If this black goo was intended to destroy the human race, what would have happened if humans on Earth who ingested the black goo had sexual intercourse shortly afterward? Would you have thousands of Aliens roaming the Earth? - the black goo would have infected earth yes ... infected water expecially , oceans ... with very interesting effects 3) Why when one of the crew came into contact with the black goo, did it make him super human and crazy, yet at the start when the engineer consumed the goo, it broke him down into multiple DNA organisms? - dont know ..but the rage of humans maybe have some links to the last engineer rage 4) Why did the robot guy who was with the crew infuriate the engineer just from talking to him? - big question ...what make the engineer angry ? The decision to wipe earth was taken there or was already planned ? It seems to me that the Engineer thinks something like "ohhh shit they did grew too much while i was sleeping , and they are intelligent too ...and too similar to us !!" 5) Finally, what possessed the engineer to wake up and then think I'll kill the human race, AND, was this linked to the holograms in anyway??? - the holograms show what did happen there ...and probably why the destruction of earth was delayed

Also, 1. what did the cobra alien do to the guy who was trying to give it a cuddle? Apart from break his arm and kill him it seemed to serve no other purpose. 2. why would anyone try to touch a previously undiscovered snake-like creature on an alien planet that had just hissed at you? 3. Why did Shaw provoke no reaction whatsoever when she stumbled into other crew members wearing only her undies, covered in blood with a fresh stapled wound across her abdomen? 4. After the Engineer wakes up and proceeds to kill everyone in sight, what leads Shaw to the conclusion that they had changed their mind about killing off the human race? 5. How does the pilot conclude after searching one building that this planet is not the Engineers' home planet? 6. Why does Vickers transform from stroppy and aloof to smiley and up for casual sex? I'm sure there are more but that's all that comes to me now.

Why did Shaw provoke no reaction whatsoever when she stumbled into other crew members wearing only her undies, covered in blood with a fresh stapled wound across her abdomen? - i agree on that ...the skip from the medpod situaion to the Weyland expedition is too fast ...she dont care to say she gave birth to a monster and they dont care to ask 4. After the Engineer wakes up and proceeds to kill everyone in sight, what leads Shaw to the conclusion that they had changed their mind about killing off the human race? - i think is David that say to her that the ship is heading to earth 5. How does the pilot conclude after searching one building that this planet is not the Engineers' home planet? - yes JAnek is a bit too smart there btw are just a few installation .. not breathable air for them ...little planet ...no cities ... so very difficult that this could be defined an home planet of so advanced race 6. Why does Vickers transform from stroppy and aloof to smiley and up for casual sex? - ahhh women ....we will never know them ... ;) ( its also true that SOMETIMES men/women that look cold in apparence can be more prone to indulge into casual sex than some apparently more outgoing .... )

The engineers used the black goo to seed human life on earth millions of years ago so it was suprising that their technology hadn't moved on at all in that time. As for the angry engineer, when he woke up he had no way to tell that the crew were from earth. You would have to assume that they made all life forms in their image. Besides, earth seemed to be pre-programmed into the computer so he was just carrying out his old mission. The question is why did he wait 2 thousand years before waking up. Surely the computer could have woke him up a lot sooner or another ship could have come looking to explain the long silence. For a species that mastered the art of space travel and DNA manipluation they sure acted like dummies.

2. why would anyone try to touch a previously undiscovered snake-like creature on an alien planet that had just hissed at you? Indeed, do they not know just how many Euroean safety directives they broke?
