This time my review will be serious - Unlike the "Prometheus." And will be short, because I want to forget as soon as possible what I saw. And I definitely saw something, but what? A film about aliens? Or movie for the power of faith? Or just a documentary about the theories of Erik Von Danniken? "Prometheus" wants to be many things at once, but suffered from defeat on every front - curses his inheritance, show nothing revolutionary and degrades the first "Alien" so lightly, so clearly that if you are a true fan of the classic from the 1979th then you will surely feel no less offended by me. I will not hide that I expected "Prometheus" look. I trust Scott and Watch trailer was cemented my confidence and hope - multiplied. I do not dozed whether it is, anticipated by fans prequel or if only gravitates to the universe of "alien", or it is entirely separate story - these things do not excite me. Just wanted to see quality science fiction movie, made by people who can do it. And Ridley Scott, it can. Or at least it could. But not anymore as i saw. Because "Prometheus" is not what I expected and definitely below the level of its director. Despite its quantitative set of "theories" and "ideas", "Prometheus" is simple and frightening mockery of fans of the original. It is empty. No suspense, no atmosphere, no scary situations without provocative messages that are being discussed for months and without any value for cinema as art. Remember the "Alien"? How will you not remember the hell. Such things do not easily forget, especially if you watch them in fresh childhood, and then watch them more and more. 33 years later, directed by Ridley Scott is still a phenomenon, and one of the best sci-fi film of all time. Why? "Alien" still affects the psychological level. It generates primary horror, not only numb the very essence of design, not only oppressive atmosphere that at times stifling, not only the realism of the actions of the characters and their relationships, but also because of his dark minimalism. In "Alien" no space spectacular chases, huge explosions, fights with gorgeous ray guns and dozens of planets to visit - the action takes place in a small box in the empty space where few unfortunate people face their biggest nightmare. Without unnecessary details, no useless conversations, without further clarification. Just this simple but brutal survival become Alien" in the classic, copied and imitated in the last three decades with annoying permanent failure. Such a failure is "Prometheus" too. And sad is that he just had to be an exception. He had to be right heir / or in the case the ancestor / of "Alien" because embody the biggest trump card - the father of the franchise, Sir Ridley Scott. The man who made the original, and would make history, but after so many years Scott has not only become more experienced, but he can rely on the latest cinema technology. So why then he confuse everything and turn it to shit? Error 1: Writer / Damn them! / I have no idea under the influence of what intoxicating substance Grandpa Scott was when he asked the manager of "When darkness falls" to write the screenplay of "Prometheus," but John Speyts responded at once. His first draft class is given to the personal bitch of J.J. Abrams - Damon Lindelof - for additions and corrections made, and Lindelof do only what he knows best - making matters worse. You can tell that Scott has not seen the finale of "Lost," because he would never have trust screenplay to that curmudgeon, for whom the show stinks worse than Bangladeshi cloaca. The presence of these bastards in the team flashed a red light signal at the bottom of my brain, but dazed by the expectations and potential of film, and reassured by the presence of Scott, I ignore it. There is hardly need to explain that exit from the film, the same light shone more brightly, and this time was the inscription: "I warned you, bitch!" Error 2: WTF we look? Originally "Prometheus" would be literal prequel of "Alien." He would not be prequel of "Alien" and would only be based on events in it. He would be and what would be a completely individual sci-fi. I watched it a few hours ago, but I'm still not sure what "Prometheus" is. I know it was not prequel because many of the events had no specific connection with the original, but I know that there is not an independent film too, because there is finally some terrifying few seconds, just before the credits, which led me to mention private parts of women in family Scott with foam on my lips. "Prometheus" suffers from DISORIENTATION of the story, trying to please everyone - the hardcore fans, both new viewers, and yet somehow to sew gap by combining the ravings of Erik Von Danniken for "alien astronaut" / see. "Chariot of the Gods" / demand of God and the power of faith. The last thing that fans of the "Alien" want to watch are two hours creationist motivational speeches about how much to believe in the engineers and the benefits of wearing crucifixes in space. Error 3: Alien vs.Predator(predator stricken) God Almighty. There is one group of viewers who will be mesmerized by the message of the film and they are creationists. Creationists are humble persons, blindly believing that God created them from the mud, ribs and other materials at hand, not that come from monkeys, despite their cognitive similarities with the latter. That they / creationists, not monkeys / will fall into raptures of "Prometheus" because it could easily serve as their campaign materials. Almost every scene in "Prometheus" contains treatises on faith and comments about God, and some dialogues are straight ridiculous for rational man. From the beginning we observe the following childhood memory of the heroine Elizabeth Shaw. The conversation goes roughly as follows: - "Daddy, Daddy, where do we go when we die?" - "In heaven, baby. There is a great party! " - "Daddy, Daddy, how do you know that so?" - "I do not know, but I BELIEVE in this, it's so." Jesus-fucking-Christ! If this were another movie, I'd passed these brain washing with derision and contempt, but this pro-religious motives shine brighter than the bald pate of Bruce Willis on a sunny day. Note that Shaw has a constant cross with +10 points protection against the evil eye, sincerely believing that it does its job and angrily admonished anyone trying to take it to her. Ironically, ornaments do not think was adequately illuminated by a priest, just as Shaw emerged as the biggest "martyr." Moreover - at a time would be well-nigh / out / forth fruit of the wicked, but thanks to the super modern medical capsule failed to make strenuous cesarean. / Science wins / Error 4: Hollywoodlikeble The first "Alien" was virtually unknown to TV project director, and became an unexpected hit, the style evolved after its appearance. He relied on a large cast names of hundreds of millions of budget, art chats or 3-D rig. He was a cinema in its purest form. Of those films that are no longer made. Classic. "Prometheus" is something else. It is expensive epic anticipated by millions of legal visionary and crammed with effects. It is a summer blockbuster, and as such, suffers from shortcomings. The screenplay was written by people with dysfunctional cerebral hemispheres, the characters are somewhat two-dimensional graffiti on a wall, and their relationship with adjacent soap opera. Besides, Hollywood standards dictate characters to have emerged from the pages of fashion magazines, so that 80% of the crew of the starship beauties are godless. Remember the original, where they were all ugly fainting, but it just makes them believable characters and viewers seamlessly individualize them. While here we have a simple star stage where semi-divine Charlize Theron, Michael Fasbendar, Logan Marshall-Green and Idris Elba broadcast masculine charms, pheromones and nothing more. Another thing that irritated me was that the reactions of the characters were lean, and overtly theatrical in places. Not that something going terribly interesting on which to react, but when they are required emotional response, most fall into a state of constipation. The scene in which naughty alien out of the stomach of John Hurt in the original reference is because none of the actors did not know what will happen and their reactions are absolutely genuine. The crew of the "Prometheus," by contrast, is so sleepy, lethargic and stereotypes that it's almost surprising how people inside there with Oscar and Golden Globe. Even the crew of "Deadly horizon" was more interesting to watch, but when something Paul WC Anderson is made /movie "Deadly horizon"/ is more interesting than anything Ridley Scott is made, this could easily be described as bottom! Plot no retelling, as spoilers are stronger than me. Instead, i will emphasize what i saw from the trailer. In the near future on Earth have found evidence of ancient aliens called Engineers, visited us millennia ago and a team of scientists went to planet LV-233 to become acquainted with them and drink a cup of coffee. There are encountering a huge stone head that can hide the truth about the beginning of civilization. Sounds so cool, right? There is only one problem. Giant humanoid head of a foreign planet and alien intervention in the origin of mankind we has looked 12 years ago in "Mission to Mars" by director Brian De Palma. So, what is innovative in "Prometheus" to Mr. writers? Not the beginning, timidly imitating "2001: A Space Odyssey." Not the second half, filled with a series of numbing the senses crap / finally Elizabeth Shaw walk around with an axe like in a cheap slasher /, which led me to realize that space is not the only place where nobody can hear you scream. The empty theater is also one. The Actors, poor ones, struggling and stick out, to capture and overactive, but inevitably exhale. In space it is difficult to breathe, no how. Distinguished only by Noomi Rapace "Millennium", which in proper lighting and the right angle can rival any Xenomorph. / At times I was more afraid of her than for her character/ Rapace scored well in the role of drama and at times even I felt sorry for her character - she so believed in the Easter Bunny, but finally got d**k unwashed. The other woman on board was Meredith Vickers / Charlize Theron / with which connected most banal twist in "Prometheus", although "twist" is a strong word for something clearly in the first ten minutes. Michael Fasbendar also makes a memorable role as the android David is a much better representative of artificial race than it was Bilbo Baggins in the first "Alien". Actually, David was the only character whose motivation intrigued me, and whose action was noting with interest. With him Scott again raises the question of the relationship and the relationship between biological and synthetic man rooted more in "Blade Runner". / A little strange that David is like a weak-bodied version of Rutger Hauer, right? / Naturally, the "Prometheus" is O Good visual and technical components for which it is worth seeing, although they are entirely secondary. Scott again directed at some of the scenes / especially in the early part of the outer frame of the planet / are breathtaking. CGI effects are polished and not bothering, and the original sets of H.R. Giger / as two or three are / still impress and wear nice nostalgic waves. / Minus ship of engineers who nibbled looking of pretzel / Only I could not understand why the film is in 3-D. It does not help in any way, but what is worse - gives an artificial picture depth, which in turn takes the feeling of claustrophobia, and it was vital for the first "Alien". Music also had ... I believe. Finally, the "Prometheus" is a frustrating experience and saturated with so much crap that are likely I to have left the cinema more stupid than I entry, if at all possible. Negatives his / including many plot holes / are painfully obvious and I do not see how fanboys will be able to protect him as many stimulated saliva to spend. Uncle Ridley did not make a decent title for seven years and i desperately wanted "Prometheus" to be his combo braker, but alas. Although the experience in recent months positive, "Prometheus" was not worth any wait or so. Twentieth Ridley movie is a hollow like shell of the newly hatched facehugger. It is a disgrace to the biography of Scott and I do not understand how a veteran like him devastated with such ease and resolve your own legacy. What is clear is that the plot of "Prometheus" is scheduled for two more sequels and as rude as it sounds, I hope Scott does not live to photograph them. Because nobody wants to remember him with them. 5.0/10 Sorry for my bad English. Not my birth language P.S. Forgot to tell that first minutes from "Prometheus" are the same fist 10 min from movie "Home" - Extended Cut - 2009 - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014762/

The only thing missing from this movie was was an engineer muttering the phrase "All Your Bases Are Belong To Us"... This movie was a complete and utter travesty of movie making.
