Why has nobody asked this first question? the rest probably have been.... [b]Who built the dome-structures over the top of the Engineers spaceships? and why ?[/b] if the engineers are just on the moon to manufacture MWD's (black goo) why go the the bother of covering up your ship with rocks ? Doesnt make sense? Why do the engineers require masks in their own ship ? and the one that is still alive doesnt need one at all ? (i mean, we see a pile of dead Engineers with masks still on, why) Why do all the dead engineers have their heads exploded and not their chests exploded ? does the black-goo kill them differently compared to how it kills the 2 earth crew members ? maybe their heads would have exploded eventually just like the engineers did? Why are there more ships that never got off the ground (3 i guess given there are three dome-structures). surely the black goo didnt co-ordinate a precision timed strike against all 3 ships so that none could leave the planet ? why was the floor of the ampule chamber made up of soil ? why where there worms crawling around in it? was this an oversight of the Engineers ? How did these worms survive in the room for 2000+ years ? why was the decapitated engineer trying to get into that room? it appeared something happened to him just before he "lost his head"? he appeared to go into some kind of spasm (not unlike just before an alien bursts out) before falling to the ground and the door chops his head off? The mural in the chamber briefly shows a "normal-type" Alien, like the one from the Alien trilogy, it also shows the spider-type face-huggers on the same mural (if your quick enough to spot them), but why ? whats the purpose of the green "Kryptonite" crystal on the table in front of the giant head in the chamber ? is Superman somehow involved in Prometheus II ? LOL! would appreciate any theories on these questions I have, cheers. ps. going to watch it again tomorrow to try and see if i can solve any more of the many questions this movie created, than answered!

They clearly state in the movie it's an installation...... that would cover ship's hanger and associated tunnels, temple etc ....no mystery

These are excellent points you raise. The fact that structures were built over them suggests that some other civilisation ( perhaps other engineers? ) raised the structures over the spaceships. None of the Prometheus crew notice the heads atop the pyramid(s) ( there were 6 or 7 other pyramids visible along the Nazca-esque path behind the main one as the Prometheus was landing. No one noticed ( or no one could notice from their viewpoint ) that the Jodorowsky-Head on the pyramid turned into a skull. Maybe that was an automated warning mechanism built by someone?

Most of the questions about the Engineer tech can be answered by observing that on earth, military bases and advanced weapons are usually covered up and hidden underground or in bunkers. Furthermore, fighter pilots wear special helmets as well, although they can breathe easily on their own when not doing advanced maneuvers. I also think their ships were carrying what would be our equivalent of nukes or bio-weapons. So if you had a serious problem with your WMD, you probably would not want to take a plane with a cargo full of it and go flying around the universe. In all honesty though, it seems like many of your questions do not have concrete answers at this time. More will likely be revealed in future installments of this franchise.

What about the scull on top of the pyramids? This thing can be only a building with a cult status, and that's kinda obvious given the giant head and the round hall with the urns. The engineers have their cult meetings there aside from using/producing MWD. Actually nowhere we see clear proof that this is production facility, and more like storage/cult only.

As per my observation, structures with bones or skulls, usually denote symbol of fear or the dominance or warning, hostile area. I am not sure if they wanted to destroy other species, why they wanted to have that part of symbolism.

Everyone seems to be resisting the possibility that the Engineers were developing the original Xenos as weapons - far from home, as you would if you knew how dangerous they would be - and that they got out of control? The Engineers, at least on that moon and on the ship that crashed on LV-426, were undone by their own arrogance...?
