This is DEF the best thread the site has seen. I cant see the movie til Friday in North Carolina but this will hold me til then. Ive seen that rock in other stills and have been quite curious myself.

Engineers: Mysterious and creepy. Proof that the most simple design can work out really good. Dislike; engineers playing with happy meal flutes. Fifield should shove them up their big pale arses. Cuddles: Disturbing and quite horrifying. Great influence from HP Lovecraft legend Shoggoth. Also reminds me of hive mind from dead space. The clattering teeth around the main mouth is just sick. Dislike: Lacks "a personality" I would like to see and know more about this abomination but it was only in action as añ adult for a single scene. Fifield: My favourite and another good example of simple design; mutated crew member that was nearly impossible to kill. This fucked-up thing really increased the tension and the panic among the audience when I watched the film. Seeing "him" relentlessly bash people to death was brutal as hell. Dislike: Same as mr cuddles we only got to see his show at the hangar before he was disposed of. Fails to build up tension. Thanks for ruining it Lindelof.

When the porn knock off PrometheASS comes out this will be the pivitol scene where everyone climaxes and the female is inseminated. Then the proto "peno-morph" if u will, will burst out of her vagina. Roll credits

What do you find curious about it? I haven't rewatched it, so haven't spotted much beyond the 'ironic' monster- killing-it's- creator trope. It's visciously aggressive, and when released attacked the nearest potential host, impregnated it, and then died off, like a facehugger on major steroids.

If Prometheus 2 happens, do u think we will see more of the last alien and his evolutionary cycle to become the xeno or is it that new aliens will be created by using different creatures as host? I just remember Lindeloff saying that a Prometheus 2 would stray farther from Alien

@kingme The movie hints that the xenos are over 2.000 years old prier to Prometheus landing there. So they have been engineerd, This new xeno is something new as we see the chest buster coming out small, This thing came out about 6foot tall. Thats unlike any xeno we have seen, Could be a queen? Maybe the engineers made all xenos male so they could not breed hence the short life cycle, Send them to a plaint they destroy every thing and die off in 48hours then the engineers clean up and start agen?! Anyhow this new xeno is defo not a proto xeno its something new. Will we see it agen in Prometheus 2? Unlikely isit a tie into ALIEN? No in my view... Its probably a nod to james camorns ALIENS this could be the queen for this movie? just a theory.....

I really hope It's a premature queen that'll return in the sequel. However, Shaw left the planet so I guess it's yet another loose thread. Yes fuck you again Lindelof.

Agree merc7 and i dont think she will be back on that moon. Only thing i can think of is that there is more engineers on the moon as its a base and we seen more that one temple. Then the new xeno "QUEEN" could have alot of fun :) if the last engineer was indeed the last one on that moon, Well whats the point in the xeno no way off the moon no food nufing it would die pretty quick after being born so whats the point in showing us?! Just to pass PROMETHEUS in the same universe as ALIEN cmon thats just bad story telling if thats true! This xeno needs depth now and if a second Prometheus gets made they can not just forget about this thing. Like lost tended to do with things i could pretty much like this film only if a second film ties all the lose ends up form alien and answers some form the the 1st Prometheus. But il say it the now it wont happen this film was made for teenagers and to rake in $$$£££ who cares about the fans they know we are going to go anyway regardless of how SHIT the film is! This is the world we live in no one cares about the little man its all about money and how much of the stuff can be made..

Absolutely right, if the sequel connects all the dots from this film it's possible to actually like this film a little bit more. However, we did not pay to see Prometheus part 1. All I wanted was a simple story just like Alien, is that so fucking hard to do? Lindelof doesn't even know the very basic rule of storytelling; TO TELL A STORY! Not this philosophical crap that doesn't tell jack shit. The truth is hard even though you're right; this movie was made to generate as much money as possible. Fans expendable, like Ash himself would say.
