I enjoyed the movie and I enjoyed the disparity between it and Alien, and I love Alien. I am not retarded for liking it, nor are you retarded for disliking it. We all expected different things and I personally thought it was brilliant I hope they further gel the two stories together in future films but I left satisfied and full of questions.

Thats the thing though, it NEEDS a sequel for it to work. It just doesnt work on its own IMO. Way too rushed for my liking. Too much left unexplained and forgotten about for unknown reasons. I was expecting it to all come together at the end but it never did. I feel cheated that nothing was explained and now I hear the reason was that a sequel is planned. This is a scam as far as Im concerned and Ive lost all interest now because of this. The movie was just far too short. I have no problems at all with people who liked it but I find it insulting when we get called retards and stuff because we didnt like it. I know the OP didnt actually say that, but Ive seen it in other threads. We all need to accept each others opinions...that there are people who like the film and people who dont. No need to attack each other about it.

@shwarzbaer666 firstly I'm sorry you feel insulted by some of the blatantly rude comments on these threads from time to time as @whydontthefreezehim has said we need to just let people be to have their own feelings about the film. As it stands though (and I've written a post as to why i feel this called 'my 2nd time to see')...wether there is a sequel or not it can't possibly tie up the events of prometheus....we may get and probably will get closer to linking the prometheus story line (at the end) to that of Alien as it moves forward. but the fact remains...Shaw has Left.....and left prometheus behind..with all its great potential for a great story we never got.....we may get closer to Alien...but again back in the prometheus world the fact is there's something a creature or presence of something thats so dangerous that the engineers ran away seeming panicked from and into a bunker/chamber containing this black goo/weaponised? variant....to maybe combat this other dangerous creature?....who knows?....they didn't bother to pursue it...no matter where they go in the Alien universe thats all back there...left to stew though they spent over half the movie building up to it....and what about all these burst chests in the dead engineers?....where did the off spring go...there's no sign of them...dead or alive.....again all left behind....anyway i won't rave on....bring on a sequel that will be a progression and lets move on....and merely Ahem! those moments of the movie that will be irrelevant in the sequel.

schwarzbaer666 - No offence dude but im no retard! and the movie doesnt work, forget ALIEN. as a stand alone movie it doesnt work...too fast paced, choped and changed rushing through scene after scene and some scenes even if you cut them out you wouldnt miss em, for example FIFIELD! coming back...what was the point? and the killin spree who got killed? why wtf?! I knew it had nothing to do with alien and the so called 8 min tie in at the end makes no sense! it doest tie in but who cares?! atleast explain some of the movies own questions!, And this film NEEDS a sequal or 2 to explain prometheus! WTF why? all they had to do was make an epic film with substance and depth, with the possibilty of a sequal but made in a way where a sequal wasnt the definitve answer to all the Questions raised within this film itself...simple! not saying i didnt like it but as it has been stated before by a member coming out of this film gives you the same feeling of being dumped by your girlfriend with no reasons why...then you need tyime to get over it! Thanx paparhino. I am not calling anybody retarded; i am calling the HATRED some people put in their posts/reviews retarded; thats a big difference. My frustration is that I am just shaking my head because everybody out there seems to be a student of "Film- und Theaterwissenschaften" which means in english something like "movie-science". It´s just entertainment for crying out loud! If you don´t like it, so be it! But don´t rain on other peoples parades before they got a chance to watch it!

As i keep saying everything is not Black and White.... Its not a matter of Hate or Love..... Some may had liked the movie but not loved it like it was some flawless peice of work by some God.... some may have been disapointed by some elements of the movie. Those who think its like Gold, like Flawless.... does their views count above everyones nope.... thats how they feel about it and thats up to them. Are they acting like brainwashed goons who worship Ridley as GOD... nope! Those who hate the movie, and everything about it are they all just Trolls..... nope, does because they say the movie is poor means its poor nope.. you see its not a case of those, most viewers will view the movie inbetween, not just Black/White or Love/Hate The only real way to see how good the movie in general is, is by how long the movie stays in the top 10 Chart.... and then how well it does within its first 3 months DVD/Blu-Ray Sales. This will be the TRUE acomplishment of the movie... if it flops that does not mean those who loved it are wrong... if the movie does fantastic that does not mean the haters are wrong... What gets me is that those who see flaws or those who do not have nothing but praise are seen as Haters by some... this is simple one minded outburst that i hear from those Conspiracy Theory people on the internet... guys who claim that a number of Planes are Holograms and are infact UFO's who are poisoning us with mind controll chemicals... I cant stand liquorice its vile.... that dont mean its not nice to some, i dont see the point in celery or mushrooms (aprt from magic kind) they just dont have a nice taste unless you add flavours to them... but thats just me.... I think that there are more people who may have some gripes with the movie and do not think it is a flawless perfect, great movie to better Alien and Blade Runner.... some may think that, thats not saying they are wrong. But by the same token some may have major gripes with the movie, but that dont mean they are all Trolls or Haters... I think you have a right to debate if you dont like the movie.... dont just say its crap.... explain what for YOU makes it crap and those who loved it can debate why they think the reasons one may think its crap is wrong. I mean come on there are many elements of this movie that are great.... even those who hated the movie have to admit that. Then again its do you call disapointment hate..... Hate is a very powerfull word.... I never hated Cabin in the Woods but i thought it was poor...
