MemberOvomorphJun-06-2012 1:55 PMMy girlfriend knows how bad I have been waiting to see this movie. So yesterday she was at the local market and saw the dvd. When she gave it to me I thought it was a cam copy.I didnt want to watch it so let my brother in law watch it.He came back and told me it was a dvd copy not a cam so I put in and damn it was a real copy!It had special features but when you chose that there was nothing.Still planning to go see in Imax but I loved the movie!

AdminPraetorianJun-06-2012 2:04 PMHow could it be a real copy? The movie has been out a week in France/UK and not even been released in the US/Canada and plenty other countries.

MemberOvomorphJun-06-2012 2:07 PMProbably a screener copy for some industry big-wig who's teenage kid got hold of and uploaded to a torrent site.

MemberOvomorphJun-06-2012 2:40 PMThis kind of thing is rampant in Thailand and China. It's just piracy, pure and simple.
I'll NEVER forget the time I worked until all hours with a team in the Silicon Valley to release a major software package (that would normally sell for roughly $300 US) and then the next day after GM (Golden Master) production started I few to Bangkok for vacation. Two days after arriving there I was shopping for Thai fonts at Panthip Plaza and there was the app there on a folding card table for sale for roughly $7.00 (US). There's lots of "real" stuff there too in that complex and that's what's especially insidious about it. The line is completely blurred and the people purchasing things don't really care. They also don't realize that by purchasing things that are not legit, that they are dooming the very products that they want to extinction.

MemberOvomorphJun-07-2012 12:05 AMActually this happens alot more than u think! Most all movies when released are already being made on dvd.U have to figure how many copies of each movie are sold or sent in just the U.S. alone? So it is actually about a 5 to 6 month project .Goto asia some time or russia and you will see.I had transformers 3 months before it was released in the states! It is not a uncommon thing when u live in a country with no copyright laws!
