Human Creation Theory (spoilers)

What I believe is that the Engineers procreated themselves (as we share the Engineers' DNA, it figures that we are them under different environmental circumstances) on Earth (a planet that supports their life) in order to test their bio weapons. We were created only to test their weapons. This fits with the concern, regarding David, of creating life. Halloway's response, "because we can", to David's question, "why did humans create me?", suggests that the creation of life is not necessarily a benevolent action and that it might be wiser not to know why one was created. The concept that procreation is not necessarily a kind or good action is further explored by Shaw's alien pregnancy.
