Different engineers?

Any ideas on why the 'Engineer' we see at the beginning of the film is 'human' in form, while the ones on the planet appear to have a different body type?

Arms, legs, just in a suit

But the 'suit' merges at the neck with the skin rather the ending in a clean line like a suit.
