Alien DNA I noticed. There is plenty. Literally.

2. The "Atmosphere" change was just like the "Blue Mist" in Alien. Once that was alarmed the eggs would open unleashing their cargo. Here the change caused the Ampules to leak contaminating things in many different ways.
David even freezes his before leaving
3. The Hammerpede Used it's tail to tightly constrict. It had Acidic blood and in resembles the tube in the Facehugger (And if you've seen the new concept art/3d models it's rather vagina like) and comes out of victims mouth like xenos second jaw.
4. The holes in the Dead Engineers heads and chests. Not to mention the Engineers suits were fossilized like the one on LV426.
5. The fast growth of Shaws baby. Both in the womb and after born.
6. The "Body Hugger" impregnates exactly like a facehugger with fast gestation.

Sambojim ...if you have to put a sarcastic comment to EVERY thread then go away .... really this is trolling ...its not nice ...not nice at all
YEs i think we will find more and more alien DNA in every view .
June 07, 2012
No Sambojim, you're the troll. Ya got what, 7 posts.?....just joined up.....apparently just to rant and moan about Lindelof and how much the movie sucks. Some might say, get a life.
June 07, 2012
@Sambojim: have to agree with @Frantz; if you really hated the movie so much, being sarcastic all over the place won't make it any better and the comunity isn't to blame!
I for once didn't LOVE the movie, but I have to take for what it is: entertainment!
Appreciate the good parts, and just hope for a sequel that'll shed some light over what was left unanswered, and have just a little less cheese ;)
Please man, don't troll...
June 07, 2012
Artyoh...you have over 500 posts, you are the one who has spent god knows how many hours on here mulling over this film. It is you who needs to get a life. I think you know it is the case seeing as your first instinct was to suggest that I get a life. I feel sorry for you, all this time, for so little in the way of reward
June 07, 2012
Yup, I've been here a long time. If I think the movie sucks, I'll say so in my review.....but I won't engage in the kind of thread-crapping vitriol that you, and some other members seem to thrive on.
June 07, 2012
@DerelictStasis
I'm gonna try and by-pass the inevitable shit-storm that almost every thread descends into now with the amount of people trying to make other forum members hate it as much as they did: misery loves company.
You're right. There's so much 'Alien' DNA. I'm just desperate to know how it all fits together?!
Whilst the whole thing reeked of 'Alien', I didn't feel I came away knowing anything more than 'The Engineers created life on earth'. Which sucks! Because there's so much going on.
But then again i'm one of those guys that likes loose ends tied up. If this was a TV series i'd be waiting on tentahooks until the next week for the next episodes. But i fear we'll be waiting a while before we find out how it all fits together and what the Alien means in relation to the space jockey.
Biological weapon? Science mistake? Out of control pet?!
June 07, 2012
@Sambojin: ok, ok, I'm not judging anyone man :)
I respect your opinion (I too, to some extent, share it, if to a lesser degree) but we have to respect each other (which implies you have to be respected, too!)
Just one final message: if we are here is because we share a common denominator: our love for the Alien franchise! Peace all! :)
June 07, 2012
@brightonrock: agreed!
I understand that it was the whole concept of the movie: the creation of human life.
But It'll be some long years waiting for the second part... if it ever comes... :P
June 07, 2012
@SamboJim
Yes a good script would be very nice indeed. It's good to see some honesty here. Too bad that some people can't respect that.
June 07, 2012
Its Sambojim that dont show RESPECT for the author of the thread with his silly sarcastic reply .
Derelictstasis have all the RIGHTS to open a thread without having a ranting clone destroyng everything .
June 07, 2012
@brightonrock - Agreed. Its funny you should mention TV series because thats now the feeling I have towards Prometheus! It feels like Ive just watched a great first episode on steroids and now I cant wait to see what happens next.
I too fear that its going to be a long time before we get Prometheus 2...maybe even never(money/profit and sadly Ridleys age might be a problem)
June 07, 2012
@Frantz
You're totally right about not hijacking threads and ruining someone else's fun, but unfortunately all the back-and-forwarding just fuels the fire.
Try ignoring it mate, and add something good to the thread. Hopefully it'll all stop.
June 07, 2012
@Freeze
Yeah, I feel like I need to know the answers because otherwise I have bigger problems with the film than I know what to do with! Some people can embrace the mystery, but to get the most out of it I need to know what exactly was going on.
People have criticised 'Prometheus' for things like 'thin characterisation', but this is nonsense really. In Blade-Runner we never really get to grips with who Deckard is, but this doesn't matter because the story ticks along so beautifully.
I hope we do get a sequel, because I would love to see how this starts to tie up and how the Aliens themselves feature in the great scheme of things. But being that Ridders is now 73 (?!) and whether it takes enough money...your guess is as good as mine.
But yes, a 'Prometheus' series would be immense.

@Frantz
If you don't like someone's opinion, tell him/her personally. Don't cry out loud about it, just some advice.
June 08, 2012
LOL. Well I get back to see so much debate in my FIRST thread. No worries. I think what Ridley did was get Lindelof on board because he works well with mystery (If you have a different opinion fine). We have been debating on the mystery of the Space Jockey for years thats what Alien was. So much debatable mystery. They have NOW done it again and expanded the universe and canon. Just watch there will be more story telling done in very creative ways with this now. 10-11-12 is gonna keep this going. Do you want it all on a silver platter or do you want slivers of answers to keep the debate and discussion going until the answer is given. That's what I loved about LOST. So many great conversations after the show was over. And SOME answers given. Tip of the iceberg folks.
