I would not think so....

How do you feel about those changes i would have made if i was working with Ridley.....
As far as the Proto Xeno it depends on if...
1) Ridley intends it to be the Organism that leads to the Traditional Xeno and indeed if he plans to ever bridge the evolution from this Organism to the events of LV 426.
2) Ridley intends this new Xeno ish Organism to be a completely new Organism... and if he will follow it in a future movie.
3) If Ridley would leave it as be for us to assume with no answers as he goes off to follow what the other Engineers in the Galaxy get upto and thus never see anything to do with the Xeno or creation of it in future.

Did you by anychance notice the order of the final shots of the movie? : They took off BEFORE it burst out of the Space Jockey in the lifeboat.
Shaw does her pi$$ poor "final survivor, log entry" ( which can only be for the benefit of the audience by the way... there's no human technology left intact that isn't occupied by nasty extra terrestials, so she must be doing this on the Space Jockey ship, and they are over 34 Light years from Earth.)
Then we see the ship leave, and then Scott gives the Alien fans the 'money shot' the Alien bursts out of the Space Jockey... (and for some reason is already 5 feet tall, rather than being a small chestburster)
So I'd say it should be a safe bet, that although heading into certain trouble, Shaw's biggest worry on the ship will be trusting David, who as we know, murdered her boyfriend, considers the Space Jockeys 'a superior species', and looks down on her, and her 'beliefs'.
Of course, that didn't stop Fincher inventing another highly improbably stowaway on the Sulaco that kills of Newt and Ripley before the opening music fades... but it would be stupid to do that again, especially as this film was written deliberately to suggest a sequel, unlike Alien or Aliens.

i was in my car today just listening to an interview lindeloff(that bastard)on NPR, essentially he is of the opinion the more questions one raises the better and that answers to questions are for chumps.
so i think everyone should just either forget about a sequel , a sequel that answers any questions or for any questions to be answerable, essentially everyone has been utterly mindf**ked

Well with regards to the Xeno creation and LV 426....
It depends on how Ridley views the creation and use of the Xeno...
Does he see it as being a Organism thats already been created years prior to Prometheus...
Or something that becomes from the Proto Xeno that chest bursted at the end of the movie....
If its suposed to be created years ago, then maybe we wont hear nothing of that new Organism unless Ridley wants to follow it as a new Franchise.
I feel it was done purely to show that a chain of events with the Black Goo can lead to the creation of a Xeno type Organism and Face Hugger type Organism.... so while being different we can make a link to then conclude that the Black Substance can and must have created the Xeno in a simular chain of events just way back in the past....

If you watch Aliens and fast forward through the end credits then turn up the last bits of music, there in Dolby 5.1 you will hear the sound of an EGG opening. This was not added later, it was in the original cut of the film. So obviously Cameron had some very dark designs lurking behind the curtain.

that's a bullcrap answer to cover up for his poor writing. Posing questions is fine, but writing poor scripts full of confusing holes to achieve the final scenes of one movie, just to pose pretentious questions in a sequel is called cheating the audience.
Seriously, he turns a horror / action franchise into a philosophy question laden down with terrible non sequiturs, crap dialogue, and embarrasingly written 'nods' to both Greek mythology (the flute.... I mean FFS!) and other Alien films (CRAP log entry at end of film - it's a bad rip off, plus it makes no sense, cos its never going to be heard.)

I dunno, I think the massive facehugger latching on to the giant alien dude deserved a massive chestburster :p
But ya, if the goo was xenomorph seed, then similar seed on another ship should make similar creatures. This could easily be a second separate franchise in the same universe with no ties to the alien series, making it the not-a-prequel he proclaimed it was.

That was a ridiculous large facehugger.... the most overblown one yet, and it wasn't even specifically engineered.... it grew from a contaminated sperm, and achieved ridiculous size with no apparent source of food to built the new cells.
Likewise the 5 foot chestburster... it would have had to eat the Space Jockey Hollow... just to have room in there, and surely it was already strong enough to hatch long before hitting the 5 ft mark.
Face it, it was a money shot, and the writer/director was jerking off big time at it.
