Great movie! But like everyone else, I have so many questions and observations after finished watching it. I apologize if some of them have been discussed before. Of course SPOILERS ahead.. 1) Remember the two scientists that got lost? When they found many dead Engineers in a corridor that proves that the "weapons" they created turn on the Engineers and kill alot of them. And they further note that something "exploded out from their insides" implying that there are more Aliens born from their bodies. Since the Prometheus team spends so much time in and around the site, where did all the Aliens go? There should be more Aliens like the one that was born from the Engineer at the end of the film... 2) We all seen that one of the lost scientists with his faceplate full of the dark liquid got his face melted. But did anyone notice somehow when the team came back in to find their 2 missing guys, the entire floor is covered with dark liquid and yet they can walk around without getting their boots burned off? 3) All of the Engineers were killed by their own weapons (dark liquid) except for one. I have read somehow that maybe the remaining Engineer was not all for destroying the human race but may have been coaxed/convinced by David the android. If he was, he would have just piloted the space craft by himself to Earth and completing his mission thousands of years ago. So the question is why was he in Cold sleep in the first place? If he wasn't rushing to deploy weapons on Earth and his friends were all dead/getting killed, wouldn't he at least try to fly home? Why put himself in Cold sleep with all the Aliens running around trying to kill his kind? 4) It is never truly explained if this planet the Prometheus landed on is the home world of the Engineers. As the captain pointed out, it could just be a military outpost/base (therefore the weapons). Also there were no cities and no visible facilities that can make the space craft further hinting that this is not their home planet. If so, why would the Engineers give this map of their military base to us in the first place? Maybe they were planning from the start, once we are technologically advanced to explore space that we’ll come and find them (and found death!!!!). Implying that the Engineers want us dead all along.. Bait and switch anyone? That’s all I can think of at the moment. Please tell me what you guys think! Cheers

1) Remember the two scientists that got lost? When they found many dead Engineers in a corridor that proves that the "weapons" they created turn on the Engineers and kill alot of them. Ah, there's a loose end alright... they could be lurking in an unexplored part of the ship or tunnels in hibernation ... from what we know, humans have to come fairly close to wake them up. It's not known how long adult aliens can hibernate of course. Also, there seems to be two unaccounted for Space Jockeys. there's another question.... 2) We all seen that one of the lost scientists with his faceplate full of the dark liquid got his face melted. But did anyone notice somehow when the team came back in to find their 2 missing guys, the entire floor is covered with dark liquid and yet they can walk around without getting their boots burned off? The dark liquid didn't burn through his helmet. It was the acid blood when he cut the head off the think attacking Milburn, that burned his helmet, and his face, and THEN he hell face first into the goo. 3) All of the Engineers were killed by their own weapons (dark liquid) except for one. I have read somehow that maybe the remaining Engineer was not all for destroying the human race but may have been coaxed/convinced by David the android. Why put himself in Cold sleep with all the Aliens running around trying to kill his kind? If you carefully watch the holographic replay that David activated in the ships bridge... 4 space jockeys come in, they activate a map and we can hear audio too, so there's briefing going on. 3 of them leave, and one bends down as if the prep for sleep. We could guess that 3 will supervise the production of nasty bioweapons, and when they are ready to go they will wake the pilot. And that is the only reason that one survived. He was in stasis in the bridge, behind a huge door. he doesn't know that his crew mates are dead, and only figures it out, when David wakes him, and he sees humans in front of him, and none of his own crew - who of course he was meant to bring to wipe out the humans. 4) It is never truly explained if this planet the Prometheus landed on is the home world of the Engineers. Implying that the Engineers want us dead all along.. Bait and switch anyone? this could just be laziness on the part of the writer, or something they mean to explain in the next installment. (or just an ironic 'tribute' to the Alien movie, where the message is not an invitation but a warning. - Shaw assumes it's an invitation.... she may be 'so, so wrong'. Alternatively, we could speculate based on the other info we have... cave paintings, 35,000 years old.... perhaps at that time LV-223 was NOT a bioweapons facility, and the engineers who visited earth were interested in creating life, but Shaw and her friends met a different bunch (cold remorseless killers) tens of thousands of years later. The dead Space jockey was dated as being 2,000 years dead... so perhaps it was only in more recent millenia, that it became a bioweapons plant, with hardened bunkers - perhaps suggesting that the planet had been bombarded during warfare. It may have been their home planet or one of their colonies, and all that remains is five bunkers and underground hangars. Or perhaps they are indeed jerks. They'll create life, but if it ever reaches a level where it could compete for status, or territory, they wipe it out. It's all open to speculation.

if there were aliens the probes definitely would have found them as it found the sleeping engineer. so that means that either all the aliens died as they were face huggers and needed something to latch onto or that something else killed them

the probes didnt catch the white snakes tho... maybe because they could'nt scan under the black goo... maybe the white snakes where borned from the engineers and bursted out.. they looked like persistent little critters... Why is the last engineer going on rampage on the humans? well to answer that question, we have to understand why they created us in the first place right? Maybe we wherent meant to be created and they now see us as a threat... they planned the re-terraformation 2000 years ago maybe after discovering we where evolving into societies and technologiy .. or maybe it is not destruction they where after be a transformation.. waiting patiently for us to emerge from their first terraformation and THEN starting a new evolution with us as one of the recipe ingredient? could be that after a re-boot of the human gene , we where meant to reborn as a new engineer specie? maybe they are desesperate to recreate their own specie? So that would make sense for them to kill us because they just think we are mere worms?
