...The film would be getting a much better response. At first, I just thought they made the stupid mistake of getting the number wrong and when the ship crashed at the end with the space-jockey in his chair, I was certain it was the set-up for the Nostromo crew to find him in Alien. I mean seriously, would it have killed Ridley to have just made that the case? The story would have remained virtually the same. THIS is one of the main reasons fanboys (including myself) are a little peeved with this movie. We feel a little cheated, I guess.

Yeah, after reading a few negative fanboy reviews I realized this isnt the movie I was waiting for I figured at least I would get to see a suited jockey running around and kicking some ass but nope not even that

I certainly hope that is not the case. Many people have written long and very detailed reviews about the film's flaws and have taken the time to add that they did not care that there was not a direct connection to ALIEN.
