Vickers the new Ripley

I know we are supposed to root for Shaw and how she is supposed to be the new Ripley(although a less action orientated one) but I couldn't help but notice the similarities between Vickers and Ripley. I mean pre-screening I was expecting Vickers to be antagonistic, but post screening for me she was the only one with common sense. The scene with her refusing entry to Hollaway was very similar to that of Ripley trying to refuse entry to Kane in Alien. Vickers is a strong female character, something which I felt Shaw lacked. Not to mention that to a certain degree it is all Shaws fault LOL. ♥ Vickers
