saw it today. sadly disappointing. absolutely no surprises (except for the final 10 seconds, which was cheap and not satisfying at all). every good scene, and the story itself, was spoiled by the studio's OWN promo campaign. bad acting (mind you most of these actors are good, but when given drivel like this they can only do so much), bad story, bad dialogue. my one single favorite part = david. dark knight rises, don't fail me now.

I agree. I can't even bear to review this thing 'cause I would be forced to think about it again...I'd just be reliving the pain. I had such high hopes. I'm going to go drink a lot now. Perhaps that will eradicate the memory. (...slinks off, whimpering, toward a watering-hole...)

"Absolutely no surprises." Before seeing the film I think most people on here expected more than what we had seen in the trailer. But unfortunately there was very little. Every major event was pretty much already shown in the trailers we saw. Why on Earth did they do that??! There was little to no surprise in the film. I'd seen most of it in the trailer!!

It wasn't so much that everything was shown in the trailers and I was left unsurprised. I just couldn't believe the script...I thought it was a terrible, convoluted mess. There were too many characters to follow...there was terrible inconsistency in the effects of the "black goo"...everyone was brilliant, stupid, psychic, and inept as the script required...and, between the CGI and the poorly skerched Individuals, I was left not giving a crap about anybody. If I have to speculate about the message of a film to the point of basically rewriting the damn thing in the vain hope of enjoying it, I know that it wasn't done right...simple as that, IMO.
