The worms were shown more than once: -3 worms were shown when David stepped on the ground. -Several worms were shown in the black goo at the base of an urn when, I think, Fifield and Milburn decided to set-up camp in the worst place possible. Granola snack bar anyone? The chamber became alive and the goo began to flow because the hermetically sealed ampule room had now become exposed to oxygen and, possibly, an increase in temperature and humidity. The worms were swimming like crazy in the black goo almost from the moment that the ampule room was opened. The goo is multi-purpose.
