[b][/ b] I don't know wether this has been brought up or even been mentioned in the slightest but. We all (well most) believe that the Xenomorphs are a rather primitive race and we have speculated if the space jokey's created them or that they are a bi-product of us because that they take certain strands of DNA of what ever species houses the host. E.g. if it gets into a dog it takes on some characteristics of a dog and same as for space jockey and human and any other species i prosume. However what if we have be wrong this whole time (and I'm sure alot of people have their own theories and I would like you to share them see what everybody thinks) what I'm saying is I believe that the Xenomorphs are far more intelligent race than we have gathered from the films, they make them out be a creature of hellisJh like terror that lurks in the darkest corners of your nightmares and that they are affarid of nothing they have no emotion or desire execpt that to kill and reproduce and that they are not easily killed (which is all true) but what if there is a remnent of the Xenos that could comunicate and be reasoned with and had intelligence far beyond ours. That ship at the beginning of Prometheus was not like a space jokey ship it could of been some sort vessel belonging to a xeno royal familly and that infact the the space jockeys were maybe hired and or inslaved by the xenon to salvage a dying race so the had the space jockeys take the xeno DNA and combine it with theirs to create us and that infact we are just a breeding program for the Xenomorphs.

To be honest, I really don't think it likely.... I really enjoyed the little typo that produced, "space jokey" - thank you.

OK, everyone time to sit back and ask your self why does it matter. The film was not as good as the trailers. The best part of the film was the first fifteen minutes . If you are actually thinking this through and are sincere in your hypothesis , if you are not working for Damon Lindeloff and are here to stir up interest in a badly concieved off shoot of Aliens then you have to consider this.... This is what they do, they spin intrigue on half concieved ideas , leave open gaps in writting. This gets the fans all stirred up and the writers use the fans as a criteria for which direction to go in order to keep them interested. Goading them all the while with non existant carrott at the end of the non existant stick that made you watch this travesty to its end. Full of Sound and Fury but in the end empty and hollow , like all the empty promises it never answers. Damon is not Alfred Hitchcock with a McGuffin to keep us on the trail, he certainly is not Kubric since his stories leave you as empty as you came and he is no Lukas because his work is not based on any story . Any story but the one you are inventing in your head with the scraps that a very expensive Art and Effects team created for him. I say forget this abortion of a film. Go make your own films and stop supplying a dilletant like this writer and creator that basically strung along all his fans for six seasons with Lost and left them at the alter with nothing but thanks for the memories. Go make real films ,go draw, go write and concieve your ideas which are better and obviously more detail than these artistic failures . In the end you are only helping them steer you into unfulfilled fantasies and extending thier pathetic carreers anyway. Sad but true.

Really you think this was awesome All I can say is that it doesnt measure up to Blade Runner or Alien and both films did not have the benefit of two hundred computer graphics programers or two major effects companies to tell a story . If all you seek is suspense and this does it for you great. But it did not do it for me and it obviously fell short with most critics. Or have you not been reading the awful but true reviews.

In fact those Viral Videos Trailers with Michael Fassbender as David and Guy Pearce as a young Weyland were much better than the whole content of the entire film. What was Ridley thinking? Dollar signs I bet . Can anyone say new Series of money making Sequels.

I wondered if the Engineers weren't the manufactured hosts and servants of the Xenomorphs as well. It is a viable variant based on what was presented. The primary reason I doubt it is that in the room with all the black oozy urn/canisters, the human head is in the center and looming large. The Xenomorph image is relief on one side wall. If you see that wall as 'cross like', then maybe it is an alter (not a warning label), but the human head seems the primary and dominant icon. For what it is worth though, I definitely see where you're coming from A.P.C.
